    Abstract: Method and system for processing frames in a fibre channel network is provided. The method includes, determining if an incoming frame in a port of a fibre channel switch includes a FR_Header with a time to live time (“TTLT”) field value; determining if the TTLT field value is greater than a certain number; adjusting the TTLT field value at a pre-determined time interval if the TTLT field value is greater than the certain number; and inserting an adjusted TTLT field value in the incoming frame before it is sent out. The switch element includes, a port that receives an incoming frame and determines if a FR_Header with a time to live time (“TTLT”) field value is received with the FR_Header, and using a timer adjusts the TTLT field value and inserts the adjusted TTLT field value in the incoming frame, before it is sent out.

A gear assembly is preferably provided and operably supported by the quadrant for actuation of the cam plate.

When the engine idle speed error magnitude is less than a calibrated threshold, usage of high DI fuel is detected by identifying a surge signal based on the engine speed error fluctuation in a predetermined frequency range attributable to combustion instability due to the presence of high DI fuel in a cold engine. When the average amplitude of the surge signal exceeds a calibrated surge threshold, the presence of high DI fuel is detected. Additionally, the method is disabled for a prescribed period following commanded load transitions associated with the air conditioning system and the automatic transmission.

The usage of high DI fuel is detected during engine cranking by measuring the time required for the engine speed to increase from a lower reference speed to an upper reference speed, provided the engine run time is less than a calibrated value. A timer is started when the lower reference speed is achieved, and the timer value is compared to a crank time threshold determined as a function of the initial engine coolant temperature. If the timer value exceeds the crank time threshold before the engine speed reaches the upper reference speed, the presence of high DI fuel is indicated, and the air/fuel ratio is temporarily enriched.

    Abstract: A seat hinge assembly includes a lower support pivotally supporting an intermediate support and an upper support pivotally supported by the intermediate support. The intermediate support is selectively locked in one of two positions via a lower cam and lock pin. A pawl is pivotally supported by the intermediate support and includes a tooth portion for selective engagement with a tooth portion of the upper support. A spindle is rotatably supported by the intermediate support and is in operative communication with an upper cam. Rotation of the spindle in a first direction disengages the upper cam from the pawl, thus disengaging the teeth portions for enabling forward rotation of the upper support relative to the lower support. Subsequently, the spindle is rotatable in a second direction for disengaging the lower cam and lock pin arrangement for enabling rotation of the intermediate support relative to the lower support.

    Abstract: A switch apparatus is used in the transmission of a redundant Cable TV (CTV) signal. The redundant CTV signal can be a symmetric split linked redundant CTV signal or an asymmetric split linked redundant CTV signal. The switch apparatus is capable of handling both the symmetric and asymmetric redundant CTV signal where primary channels are split into multiple parts. The asymmetrical splitting of the primary channels is where one part contains more channels than another part. The switch apparatus includes a plurality of switches and a monitor device to detect a failure in the split signal path before the split signals are combined to be transmitted to downstream end-users. Upon detecting a failure, the switches are switched from primary channels to secondary channels by a controller. After the signal is returned, the switches are switched back to the primary channels. A delay timer may be included in the switch apparatus to avoid incidental or temporary signal recovery.

    Abstract: A combined bearing/diaphragm seal for use in a solenoid valve assembly or the like is disclosed which provides a flexible fluid seal between the solenoid sub-assembly and the valve sub-assembly. The solenoid and valve sub-assemblies communicate mechanically via a portion of a solenoid armature which translates through the combined bearing/diaphragm seal and controls elements of the valve sub-assembly for regulating outlet fluid pressure. The bearing portion of the combined bearing/diaphragm seal comprises a flat spring-plate that is adapted to resiliently deflect in response to movement of the solenoid armature. The diaphragm portion of the combined bearing/diaphragm seal is an elastomeric seal material applied to at least one side of the spring plate.
