  • Publication number: 20180216283
Abstract: Methods, compositions, single phase aqueous solutions, process mixtures, and kits are provided relating to decolorizing post-consumer fibers, e.g., from carpet pile, using a single-phase aqueous solution. For example, a method of decolorizing post-consumer fibers may include providing the single phase aqueous solution. The single phase aqueous solution may include water, a stable peroxygen composition, and a surfactant composition. The method may include providing the post-consumer fibers comprising a colorant. The method may include contacting the single phase aqueous solution and the post-consumer fibers to form a process mixture under conditions effective to provide a decolorized portion of the post-consumer fibers.

  • Publication number: 20180065123
Abstract: A film treatment system includes a mill tank, a shaft, and a milling blade. The mill tank contains coated polymeric material in comminuted form, and further contains an aqueous solution for removing coating material from the polymeric material. The shaft is supported for rotation about a vertical axis in the tank. The milling blade is supported on the shaft for rotation with the shaft, and has a leading surface reaching radially outward with a convex contour facing in a rotationally forward direction.

  • Patent number: 4834676
Abstract: A wedge-lock type coaxial cable connector includes a main body, a ferrule locatable inside the rear end of the main body and a coupling nut. The rear end of the main body has a frusto-conical inner surface and the ferrule has a matching frusto-conical outer surface as well as an axial slit completely therethrough. When opposing forces are exerted against the rear surface of the ferrule, the ferrule is compressed and a barb on the inner surface of the ferrule engages the coaxial cable. Preferably, frusto-conical surfaces of the main body and the ferrule have interlocking axial indentations and protrusions to prevent relative axial and radial movement.
