Abstract: A pulse detection circuit configured to detect peak pulse values from pulses contained in an input analog signal includes a control circuit to generate a peak control signal based on input from a microcontroller and/or a peak detector, and a peak track/hold circuit to produce an output peak analog signal responsive to the input analog signal and peak control signal. The peak track/hold circuit includes a peak-detect operational amplifier having first and second input terminals to receive the input analog signal and the peak control signal respectively, and a peak-hold capacitor connected to an output terminal of the operational amplifier. The pulse detection circuit includes an analog to digital converter to produce an output peak digital signal from the output peak analog signal. The peak track/hold circuit switches from a tracking mode to a hold mode upon the arrival of the peak control signal generated from the control circuit.

A charge sensitive amplifier receives the input electrical signal and outputs an amplified electrical signal. An edge-peak detector circuit detects a fast rising edge of the electrical pulses; a beginning of a trailing edge of the electrical pulses; and a peak value of the electrical pulses. A local microcontroller includes: a timing circuit to generate timestamp values for detected pulses in response to a detected pulse edge and to synchronise the timestamp values with a reference clock signal to generate timestamp values for the pulses; an analog to digital converter to record pulse height values of the electrical pulses; and a communications interface to communicate the timestamp values and pulse height values to a memory device.

Abstract: A disclosed electrical generator includes a housing, an actuator, a rotatable member, a stator, a rotor, an electrical circuit, and a current controller. The actuator is movable relative to the housing and the rotatable member is also rotatable relative to the housing. The rotatable member cooperates with the actuator such that movement of the actuator causes rotation of the rotatable member. The stator is fixed relative to the housing and the rotor receives rotational kinetic energy from the rotatable member. Movement of the rotor relative to the stator generates electromagnetic induction in the rotor and/or the stator which produces a three-phase alternating current. The electrical circuit includes a rectifier that converts the alternating current to a direct current. The current controller regulates the direct current to thereby generate a fixed constant direct current.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of applying user profile information to a customized application are disclosed. One example method of operation may include receiving an inquiry from a user device at a customer call center server and identifying and authorizing the user from the received inquiry. The method may also provide retrieving a user profile from memory that includes history information based on previous interactions between the user device and the customer call center server and calculating a prediction as to a purpose for the inquiry. The prediction may be based on user profile history, social networking profile information, recent transactions, etc. The method may also provide transmitting a response to the inquiry based on the calculated prediction.

The number of facility options continues to grow and the patients can now receive various different health care services. One example method of operation provides receiving sensor data indicating that one or more sensors were triggered at a predefined location at a first time during a monitoring event, receiving additional sensor data indicating an additional sensor was triggered at a second time later than the first time, identifying a time gap between the first time and the second time, storing the time gap in a schedule stored in memory, and creating a sensor trigger pattern based on the time gap and applying the sensor trigger pattern to an alert status for a subsequent monitoring event.
