  • Patent number: 8126741
Abstract: A system for managing prescription data is provided. The system for managing prescription data includes a switch system. The switch system is configured to receive prescription submissions from pharmacy systems, submit the prescription submissions to approval systems, receive responses from the approval systems, and transmit the responses to the pharmacy systems. The switch system is further configured to receive treatment classification data including pathogen groups and pharmaceuticals prescribed to treat symptoms occurring from exposure to each pathogen group. The switch system is further configured to determine normal variations of the prescription submissions, detect anomalous variations of the prescription submissions, and generate a notification in response to detecting an anomalous variation.

  • Publication number: 20110202366
Abstract: A system for distributing packaged medical supplies is provided. The system includes a record server configured to generate medical supply data. The medical supply data includes identification of a physical package containing physical medical supplies, identification of the physical medical supplies, and identification of a remote site the physical package is to be physically moved to. The record server is configured to correlate the package data with verification data received from a remote client. The verification data includes identification of a physical package received by the record client, identification of a patient prescription received by the remote client, and identification of the site of the remote client.

  • Publication number: 20110196696
Abstract: A system for managing prescription data is provided. The system for managing prescription data includes a switch system. The switch system is configured to receive prescription submissions from pharmacy systems. Each prescription submission identifies a prescription having a prescription item, a fill date, a number of dosages, an identification of whether the prescription requires refilling, and a dose frequency. The switch system is further configured to submit the prescription submissions to approval systems, receive responses from the approval systems, and transmit the responses to the pharmacy systems. The switch system is further configured to determine, using the plurality of prescription submissions, when each of the prescriptions identified by the plurality of prescription submissions should be refilled.

  • Publication number: 20110196697
Abstract: A system for managing prescription data is provided. The system for managing prescription data includes a switch system. The switch system is configured to receive first prescription submissions, each of which identifies a prescription item and has a submitted price for the prescription item. The switch system is further configured to submit the first prescription submissions to an approval system and receive responses to the first prescription submissions. Each response identifies an approved price or a denial. The switch system is configured to receive a second prescription submission from a pharmacy system, where the second prescription submission identifies the prescription item and has a submitted price for the prescription item. The switch system is further configured to determine if the submitted price is less than an approved price in the responses.

  • Patent number: 7956894
Abstract: An apparatus for multi-media data organization and transmission is provided. The apparatus has a computer having a microprocessor, a memory storage, a display for providing information to a user, and an input device. An image-recording device is electrically-coupled to the computer for capturing images for storage in the memory storage of the computer. A database, which has a structure defined in the memory storage, receives and stores a plurality of information relating to an event. A program, being executable by the computer, provides a graphical user interface on the display. The program has an imaging module with document and image capture filing and scanning functions. The graphical user interface receives an input from the input device and from the image-recording device. In a further aspect of the invention, the program has a communications module for transmission of the plurality of information relating to the event to a remote location.

  • Patent number: 7899686
Abstract: A system for managing prescription data is provided. The system includes a switch system receiving prescription data from a pharmacy, such as medicine identification data, dosage data, number of doses data, fill date data, and number of refills data. A data volume sales system generates volume sales data from the prescription data, such as the percentage of a given type of medicine sold for a manufacturer relative to all manufacturers for that medicine. A data volume rebate by unit system receives the prescription data and, the volume sales data and generates incentive target reward data, such as the number of additional units of medicine that must be sold to reach a predetermined sales volume associated with a rebate level.

  • Patent number: 7885822
Abstract: A system for transferring electronic medical files is provided, such as for providing for patient file integrity and continuity in a telemedicine system. The system includes a record server that has a medical record data file for each patient, wherein each patient's medical record data file holds medical record data for that patient. A record client coupled to the record server receives the medical record data file. The medical record data is encapsulated to prevent modification of the medical record data, thus providing for integrity and continuity of the patient's medical record.
