The method includes flowing fluid through the vibratory meter and measuring a flow rate and a density of the fluid with the vibratory meter, and calculating a density change rate of the fluid. The method also includes determining if the measured flow rate is inaccurate based on a comparison between the measured density and a density reference, and a comparison between the density change rate and a density change rate reference.
