  • Patent number: 7140589
Abstract: A cushion lift assembly for raising and lowering the front and rear portions of an automobile seat independently and/or simultaneously. The cushion lift assembly includes mounting members and a pair of connecting members interconnecting the mounting members. The connecting members are formed from three stamped members including a first elongated stamped member and two bracket members mounted near opposite ends of the first stamped member. Each of the stamped members includes a rib formed therein. The ribs cooperate to define an annular opening in which a pivot member is received.

  • Patent number: 6945728
Abstract: A mechanical fastener assembly having a first member and an insert. The first member includes a cavity into which the insert is forced. The insert includes a body portion having a non-circular cross section defined by a plurality of arcuate sections. Forcing the insert into the first member, which may be a tubular member, firmly engages the insert with the first member. The first member is securable to a second member by positioning a portion of the first member within an opening in a second member. The opening in the second member may be configured to correspond to the cross sectional shape of the body portion of the insert. The body portion of the insert outwardly deforms the first member into engagement with the second member to thereby secure the assembly and prevent the relative axial and rotational movement between the insert, first member and second member.

  • Patent number: 6125925
Abstract: A heat exchanger (10) including a heat exchanger conduit and fins arranged on the conduit tubes (12, 12') to further heat transfer between the external fluid flowing over the fins (22, 22') and the fluid flowing within the conduit. The fins (22, 22') include a row of apertures through which tubes (12, 12') of the heat exchanger conduit extend. The leading (4, 6) and trailing (48) edges of the fins (22, 22') are contoured to substantially conform to isotherms around the circulating fluid flowing within the tubes (12, 12'). To achieve this edge configuration while also allowing for a dense packing of fins and tubes in a multi-row heat exchanger, the leading and trailing edges are wave-shaped such that adjacent fins can interfit together.

  • Patent number: 5244264
Abstract: The present invention is a base assembly for a rooftop air conditioner. The offset tongue of one base rail is slidably received by an open end of the other base rail so that the length of the base assembly may be altered by simply slidably adjusting the relative position of the base rails. The base rails may have a U-shape or an L-shape so that when connected a rectangular base assembly is formed. Alternatively, the base assembly may include side rails and end rails which form a rectangular shape. The side rails and the end rails are formed from a single sheet of steel having a uniform width. The steel sheet is cut into four sections, with the side rails having tongues formed in their ends which engage open ends of the end rails. The corners of the base rails or end rails are integrally formed by bending the rails along lines at selected positions.
