  • Publication number: 20230368318
Abstract: A system for detecting events of a geographical area includes a plurality of sensors positioned within a plurality of properties, a memory device for storing a profile of at least one utility equipment, the profile including operating parameters for the at least one utility equipment, and a server communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The server is configured to (i) receive, from the plurality of sensors, sensor data associated with the at least one utility, (ii) detect an event associated with the at least one utility by comparing the received sensor data to the profile, (iii) determine a performance of the at least one utility equipment based upon the detected event, and (iv) transmit, to a remote computing device, support data associated with the performance of the at least one utility equipment, the support data addressing at least a performance failure of the at least one utility equipment.

  • Patent number: 11816600
Abstract: A building analysis (“BA”) system for detecting events of a building includes a plurality of sensors positioned within a building, a memory device including an optimal profile of an infrastructure, and a building analysis (“BA”) server communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The infrastructure is at least one of (i) a fixture associated with the building and (ii) at least one person located within the building. The BA system includes one or more processors in communication with the memory that are programmed to: (i) receive sensor data related to the infrastructure, (ii) compare the sensor data to the optimal profile to detect an event, (iii) determine a recommended action based upon the detected event, (iv) execute the recommended action to mitigate at least one of damage caused by the detected event to the building and injury caused by the detected event to the at least one person.

  • Patent number: 11074655
Abstract: Systems and methods may transmit a plurality of locationing pulse requests from a mobile device in a vehicle to an audio system of the vehicle during a period of vehicle operation. The mobile device may be associated with a vehicle driver. The audio system may have an array of speakers disposed inside the vehicle, and the locationing pulse requests may include a request to emit a locationing pulse from the array of speakers. The systems and methods may receive the locationing pulse at a microphone of the mobile device, and generate or update a vehicle occupancy profile based upon the receiving operation. The vehicle occupancy profile may include occupancy data of one or more seats inside the vehicle. A vehicle risk profile may be determined based upon the vehicle occupancy profile, and a risk message transmitted if the vehicle risk profile satisfies a high risk condition.

  • Publication number: 20210224917
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method detect and act upon operator responsiveness to vehicle alerts. The system and method include determining that an Advanced Driver Assistance system (ADAS) of a vehicle generated an alert for a driving activity. The system and method may include logging a first set of measurements data associated with the alert of the ADAS in a database saved in a memory. The system and method may compare a portion of the first set of measurements data with a portion of the second set of measurements data, determine a driving metric for an operator of the vehicle based upon the comparing, and set at least a portion of an operator profile associated with the operator with the driving metric. As a result, risk averse driver, and/or proper responsiveness to vehicle alerts may be rewarded with insurance-cost savings, such as increased discounts.

  • Patent number: 11037248
Abstract: Systems and methods may transmit a plurality of locationing pulse requests from a mobile device in a vehicle to an audio system of the vehicle during a period of operation of the vehicle. The audio system may have an array of speakers disposed inside the vehicle, and the locationing pulse requests may include a request to emit a locationing pulse from the array of speakers. The systems and methods may receive the locationing pulse at a microphone of the mobile device, and further determine, based upon the locationing pulse received at the microphone, that non-driver passengers were inside the vehicle for part of the period of operation of the vehicle. The systems and methods may determine an identity associated with each of the non-driver passengers, and subsequently transmit a request to share costs of the vehicle during the period of operation of the vehicle to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10783725
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method detect and act upon operator reliance to vehicle alerts. The system and method include receiving user profile data of an operator that includes a baseline of at least one driving activity aided by activation of an alert from a feature of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The system and method may include receiving historical ADAS alert frequency data including a history of at least one driving activity aided by activation of the alert from the ADAS feature. The system and method may compare the user profile data with the historical ADAS alert frequency data, determine a reliance level based upon the comparing, and set at least a portion of an operator profile associated with the operator with the reliance level. As a result, a risk averse driver, and/or proper responsiveness to vehicle alerts may be rewarded with insurance-cost savings, such as increased discounts.

  • Patent number: 10304142

The audio system may have an array of speakers disposed inside the vehicle, and the locationing pulse requests may include a request to emit a locationing pulse from the array of speakers. The systems and methods may further receive the locationing pulse at a microphone of the mobile device; and determine, based upon receiving the locationing pulse, that the vehicle was in service of a TNC company, or otherwise operating as a TNC vehicle, during the period of operation based upon passengers entering and leaving the vehicle during the period of operation. Insurance covering the operation of the vehicle for TNC use may be verified, and/or alternatively, offered to facilitate insuring TNC vehicle operation.
