  • Patent number: 11996175
Abstract: A process registers, at the user mobile computing device, one or more health-related documents for inclusion in a cloud-based digital health wallet. Furthermore, the process receives, at a user mobile computing device, a biometric identification input from the user for the registration of the one or more health-related documents. The process sends, from the user mobile computing device to a server computing device that stores the cloud-based digital health wallet, a first coded version of the biometric identification input for storage in a biometric validation data structure. Additionally, the process determines, at the user mobile computing device, a location of the user. Moreover, the process sends, from the user mobile computing device to the server computing device, a validation request at the location. The validation request includes a second coded version of a subsequently inputted biometric input from the user at the location.

  • Patent number: 11993477
Abstract: A retractable tool lanyard comprises a housing, a drum rotatably connected to the housing, a biasing member interconnecting the housing and the drum, a cord operatively connected to the drum and adapted to be wound about and paid out from the drum, and an engaging mechanism. The engaging mechanism comprises a locking plate connected to the drum, at least one lock pawl connected to the locking plate, and a ratchet plate. When the drum rotates at a predetermined speed, the at least one lock pawl pivots from an unlocked position to a locked position to engage the ratchet plate thereby rotating the ratchet plate with the drum. At least one of a braking mechanism and a clicker pawl are used to create friction to assist in reducing a rate of rotation of the drum.

  • Publication number: 20230158347
Abstract: An anchor device may be connected to a personal safety line used by a worker, who typically is wearing a safety harness to which the line is attached. The worker may insert an anchoring mechanism portion of the anchoring device into a connection point, then activate a locking feature of the anchoring mechanism to affix it to the connection point. The locking feature comprises multiple jaws which are coupled to each other and to the apparatus so that they expand when tension is applied to the connection point of the personal safety line. The worker, secured in case of fall by the personal safety line, may move about freely, but should a fall occur, the added tension on the personal safety line will increase the force locking the mechanism to the connection point, thus increasing safety. To release the anchoring mechanism, the worker disengages or otherwise unlocks the anchoring mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5684644
Abstract: A light beam line projecting device having a combination of two or more lenses which magnify in only one dimension; i.e., cylindrical and plano-cylindrical lenses, which are arranged so that the lenses' physical proximity to one another can be manipulated in order to dictate the angle of light emitted from the lens system. The axes of curvature of the respective lenses are maintained in the same plane by a lens holder comprising a stationary lens holder which houses one of the lenses, a sliding lens holder which houses the other lens, and a rotating adjustment ring which provides both the outside housing for the system and the means of adjustment of the proximity of the lenses relative to each other. The sliding lens holder has projections that slide longitudinally in grooves in the stationary lens holder and projection that slide circumferentially in grooves in the rotating adjustment ring.

  • Patent number: 5671561
Abstract: A modular, combination laser and electronic aiming system is disclosed having an electronic sight portion and a laser sight portion. The electronic sight portion has a lens and a first light source for projecting a light beam upon the lens. The laser sight portion has a second light source for projecting a beam onto a target. Separate frames may be used to mount the first and second light sources and the lens to the shooting apparatus, and the frame for the laser light source may be disposed between the frame for the electronic light source and the lens, securing the laser sight portion to the shooting apparatus without interfering with the operation of the electronic sight portion.
