  • Patent number: 9549046
Abstract: Methods and systems for logging time are described. In one embodiment, the method is performed by a server computing device communicatively coupled to a mobile computing device and communicatively coupled to a workstation computing device executing computer-executable instructions for logging time and associated task descriptions. The server computing device includes a memory including at least one task indicator corresponding to at least one task description. The method includes receiving, by the server computing device, at a first time, a first task indicator from the mobile computing device. The method additionally includes comparing, by the server computing device, the first task indicator to the at least one task indicator in the memory of the server computing device and determining a first corresponding task description, and logging time by transmitting the first corresponding task description to the workstation computing device for logging.

  • Publication number: 20130143525
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for point of use verified aircraft assembly time collection are disclosed herein. The disclosed method for manufacturing process control involves assigning a plurality of manufacturing tasks to an interactive voice response (IVR) menu associated with a manufacturing process control application. The method further involves selecting one of the plurality of manufacturing tasks assigned to the interactive voice response menu via a mobile telephone device of the user. In addition, the method involves receiving a confirmation response on the mobile telephone device from the manufacturing process control application indicating the manufacturing task selected. In one or more embodiments, the assigning of the plurality of manufacturing tasks involves assigning each manufacturing task to a number. In some embodiments, the number corresponds to a key on the keypad of the mobile telephone device.

  • Patent number: 7778228
Abstract: A network communication system includes a wireless independent secure local area network design (ISLAND) LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal that provides a communications link to an access point of a primary network. A network control center, connected to the primary network, continuously monitors the wireless ISLAND LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal and an alarm is set off when an outage occurs—such as caused by the wireless ISLAND being powered down. The wireless ISLAND may be enclosed in a hardened, portable case subject to security procedures. A method for establishing a secure communications link using a wireless ISLAND LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal may include providing requirements that consider the wireless ISLAND to be a component of network infrastructure and not an end user client device, providing controls for physical access to the wireless ISLAND, and providing procedures for ensuring the security of the wireless ISLAND and the communications link that it provides.

  • Patent number: 7541927
Abstract: A real time location system has a plurality of tag devices. Each tag device has a unique identification code. Each tag device will transmit a location signal when activated. A plurality of location receivers are installed in a fixed location. The location receivers will receive the location signal and calculate a location of the tag device transmitting the location signal. A signal mechanism is coupled to an I/O port of each tag device. The location mechanism provides at least one of an audible signal or visual signal when activated. A location reader is provided. The location reader receives the location data transmitted by the plurality of location receivers to enable a person to locate the tag device transmitting the location signal.
