  • Publication number: 20020127947
Abstract: An electronic activity center for infants includes a spring biased kick bar, a cross bar supported above the infant, a plurality of hanging toys suspended from the cross bar, and a rotating “motion” bar with rotating flippers and disks mounted on the cross bar. The kick bar and the hanging toys are connected to an electronic control unit mounted inside the frame of the activity center. The electronic control unit controls output of music and sounds responsive to movement of the kick bar and/or hanging toy. The electronic unit also controls motion the rotating bar responsive to movements of the kick bar and hanging toys. Activation of the music, sounds, and rotating bar responsive to movement of the kick bar and/or hanging toys are believed to encourage kicking of the infant's feet and swinging of the infant's arms and thus aid in the development of motor skills.

  • Patent number: 6296268
Abstract: An improved toy assembly is adapted to be alternatively used as a foot-to-floor ride-on vehicle, or as a walker. The convertible walker/rider toy includes a chassis which is supported on a plurality of wheels, and a body that is pivotally attached to the front end of the chassis. The body includes a contoured upper surface that functions as a seat when the toy is assembled in the rider configuration. The toy further includes an L-shaped handlebar having a rider portion and a walker portion which are joined at approximately a 90° angle. The walker portion of the handlebar is pivotally attached to the rear end of the body and is pivotally movable relative to the body. When the toy is in the rider configuration, the body overlies the chassis, the walker portion of the handlebar is received beneath the body and the rider portion of the handlebar projects upwardly through the opening in the front end of the body.

  • Patent number: 4968040
Abstract: A domino type game is provided having game interlocking pieces formed with matching shapes rather than number dot patterns. In accordance with a preferred aspect of this invention, a playing piece is provided that has a stepped configuration with two generally flat engaging portions lying in two spaced apart planes and joined by a web. An upstanding post having a regular shape is mounted on one surface of one engaging portion, and a socket extends through the other engaging portion to the opposite surface. In at least some of the pieces, the shape of the post and the shape of the socket are different, so that a chain of shaped dominoes may be formed as a game.
