  • Publication number: 20100219652
Abstract: A slide-out mechanism for moving a slide-out section of a vehicle relative to a second section of the vehicle is disclosed. The slide-out mechanism comprises a stationary frame configured to connect to the second section of the vehicle and a movable frame that movably connects to the stationary frame and is configured to connect to the slide-out section. The slide-out mechanism further comprises a drive assembly that is operable to move the movable frame, and a rack and pinion assembly that operatively connects the drive assembly and the movable frame. The rack of the rack and pinion assembly includes a back surface having an adhesive thereon to connect to an adjacent component.

  • Publication number: 20080217949
Abstract: A tailgate ramp for a vehicle is driven up and down by a rotary drive system that engages a hinge plate. The prime mover of the system is a two way electric motor that drives the hinge plate through a gear reduction, and can be placed away from the gate using parallel shafts that extend between the motor and the hinge plate. A screw driven latch arm is also driven by a two way electric motor to latch and unlatch the door.

  • Patent number: 7296779
Abstract: An extendible leg adapted for mounting to a vehicle includes an outer member and an inner member. The inner member is telescoped slidably into the outer member, and has a first end extending axially beyond said outer member. A nut is fixed relative to the inner member. A rotatable screw is axially fixed relative to the outer member and threadably engaging the nut, wherein rotation of the screw axially drives the nut to axially move the inner member relative to the outer member.

  • Patent number: 5584717
Abstract: An IC package mounting device that includes a plurality of independently operative sliding latches or clips to secure the IC package to the device. The sliding latches are housed in guide slots that prevent the latches from becoming disengaged from the carrier assembly, with the guide slots being oriented at an angle relative to the lateral peripheral dimensions of the IC package.
