  • Patent number: 10603951
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device, a system and a kit for creating pixel artwork. A device may include a stencil for sidewalk chalk that has a planar body and a plurality of apertures. The stencil may be repositionable on a surface of a substrate and may guide application of a marking device to generate a pixelated grid on the surface of the substrate positioned below the stencil. The pixelated grid may be formed by multiple pixel components that correspond to the stencil. Both a system for creating pixel art and a pixel art kit may include a sidewalk chalk stencil, a plurality of marking devices, and either a pixel assignment or a first instruction. The pixel assignment and the instruction may direct application of the plurality of marking devices to create a pixel artwork of substrate.

  • Patent number: 9415627
Abstract: A drawing apparatus for accurately generating a hand-drawn reproduction of an image or object is provided. The drawing apparatus includes a mirror and reflective filter arrangement that allows a user to view, through a single eyepiece, both the object being reproduced and the drawing surface where the user generates a hand-drawn reproduction of the viewed drawing object. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an adjustable, angled stand for supporting the drawing object, and a drawing surface for generating hand-drawn reproductions. As viewed through the single eyepiece, an image of the drawing surface appears superimposed on the drawing object being reproduced. In further embodiments, the single eyepiece is used with a selectable filter arrangement for adjusting the amount of focus on the drawing surface and/or drawing object.

  • Publication number: 20150047522
Abstract: Methods and devices for making a handheld stamp are provided. In one aspect, a stamp image is applied to a photosensitive and/or photo-reactive stamp surface that, when exposed to light having a particular wavelength for a particular amount of time, produces a handheld stamp. The photosensitive stamp surface may be a photosensitive foam, a photosensitive gel, and the like. In another embodiment, a rub-on transfer image is applied to a surface of a porous plastic sheet, where the applied rub-on transfer image prohibits the flow of ink through portions of the porous plastic sheet. In another embodiment, a transparency masks a portion of a photosensitive transfer material during light treatment to produce a stamp mask. The stamp mask is then applied to a porous plastic stamping material to produce a handheld stamp.
