  • Patent number: 11596131
Abstract: An oxalic acid vaporizer has a modular configuration, having a dispensing module and a manually detachable heating module. This modular configuration allows the first heating module to be easily separated from the dispensing module and a substitute heating module attached to the dispensing module, thereby allowing for a very fast replacement of the heating module in the event there is a failure or overheating in the first heating module. The substitute heating module may be a duplicate of the first heating module or the substitute heating module may have a more powerful fan, be capable of greater heat, or it may be of the type having a proportional-integral-derivative controller for controlling temperature. The modular configuration provides for a continuous oxalic acid gas treatment of bee hives by allowing an operator to change out heating modules in a matter of seconds.

  • Publication number: 20220264973
Abstract: A load-bearing vest overlay jacket (“overlay jacket”) is an overgarment configured to be joined with and fastened to a load-bearing vest (“tactical vest”) so that an open front area exists between the front left and front right of the overlay jacket, permitting a user's access to equipment on the tactical vest. Thus, the overlay jacket may provide uniform, comfortable body temperatures in colder weather, to include arm warmth and upper torso warmth, as a function of either optionally-insulated sleeve and/or torso regions of the overlay jacket, or of torso warmth provided by the tactical vest underlying the overlay jacket.

  • Patent number: 10895101
Abstract: Adaptable fenestration frame members, fenestration units using the frame members, and methods of adapting the fenestration frame members. The adaptable fenestration frame members provide a construction that is adaptable for use in both pocket and non-pocket installations by including an adaptation channel forming an outside corner along one edge of the fenestration frame member. Removal of the outside corner converts that portion of the frame member from an outside corner to an inside corner, thus adapting the frame member for use in a pocket installation.

  • Publication number: 20200309644
Abstract: A sampling and transfer device for chemicals, biologics and the like comprises a barrel containing at least one fluid reservoir fluidically coupled to a porous nib, such as a high density or ultra high density polyethylene porous nib. For example, the barrel may comprise a plurality of fluids such as buffers, solvents and/or reagents for a plurality of different types of tests such as spectroscopy, thin layer chromatography, DNA testing and testing for chemical reactivity with a reagent (i.e. colorimetric testing) that alters the appearance of the tip, such as by a change in color, luminosity or the like. In one method, a series of tests are conducted using the same nib for sampling and spotting a variety of surfaces for different types of tests having different sensitivities for different compounds and/or colorimetric testing of the tip, itself.

The systems described herein can be configured to withdraw a sample from a source of fluid, direct a first portion of the withdrawn sample to an analyte monitoring system and return a second portion of the sample. The analyte monitoring system can be connected to the fluid source via a connector that is configured to improve fluid flow and reduce blood clotting risk. These goals can be accomplished, for example, by employing coatings in or on a connector, positioning a resilient substance at or near the junction, by reducing dead space volume, by using resiliency to improve fit, by extending a portion of one connector to better mate with a portion of another connector, etc.

  • Patent number: 10114661
Abstract: One or more applications are started in suspend mode during a boot up sequence of the operating system. The one or more applications are added to a suspended list. The system continues by monitoring a plurality of application programming interface (API) calls made from the application layer to one or more graphic rendering modules; and processing the plurality of API calls to the one or more graphic rendering modules based on whether each API call belongs to an application on the suspended list. Fast starting a channel application can also be done in a predictive manner via the search function or based on feeds in a notification area.
