  • Patent number: 12288550
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for focused training of language models and end-to-end hypertuning of the framework. In one aspect, a method is provided that includes obtaining a machine learning model pre-trained for language modeling, and post-training the machine learning model for various tasks to generate a focused machine learning model. The post-training includes: (i) training the machine learning model on an unlabeled set of training data pertaining to a task that the machine learning model was pre-trained for as part of the language modeling, and the unlabeled set of training data is obtained with respect to a target domain, a target task, or a target language, and (ii) training the machine learning model on a labeled set of training data that pertains to another task that is an auxiliary task related to a downstream task to be performed using the machine learning model or output from the machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20250090400
Abstract: A trauma gurney includes a base connected to a frame by a vertical adjustment mechanism. The base is configured that it can be maneuvered over a receiving table. The frame holds a detachable platform suitable for the positioning of a patient thereon. Actuation of the adjustment mechanism allows the frame to be lowered and the patient platform to be detached. The patient platform is configured to be non-interfering with various procedures such as MRI procedures so the patient platform can remain with the patient after the patient has been transferred without adverse effects to the procedures. The patient platform can also be reattached to the frame after it has been removed. The trauma gurney beneficially allows a patient to be transferred from the gurney to another surface, such as for imaging, without requiring a conventional lateral transfer. Similarly, the trauma gurney allows a patient to be transferred back to the gurney.

  • Publication number: 20250083305
Abstract: A robotics corner module includes a steering drive unit, a traction drive unit, and a support structure. The steering drive unit includes an electric motor that drives rotation of a rotor shaft about a rotor shaft axis, and an output shaft coupled with the rotor shaft via a geartrain, such that rotation of the rotor shaft about the rotor shaft axis by the electric motor drives rotation of the output shaft about an output shaft axis that is parallel to and radially offset from the rotor shaft axis. The traction drive unit includes an electric motor that drives rotation of a rotor shaft about a rotor shaft axis, and a wheel hub operably coupled with the rotor shaft of the traction drive unit via a geartrain.

  • Patent number: 11596131
Abstract: An oxalic acid vaporizer has a modular configuration, having a dispensing module and a manually detachable heating module. This modular configuration allows the first heating module to be easily separated from the dispensing module and a substitute heating module attached to the dispensing module, thereby allowing for a very fast replacement of the heating module in the event there is a failure or overheating in the first heating module. The substitute heating module may be a duplicate of the first heating module or the substitute heating module may have a more powerful fan, be capable of greater heat, or it may be of the type having a proportional-integral-derivative controller for controlling temperature. The modular configuration provides for a continuous oxalic acid gas treatment of bee hives by allowing an operator to change out heating modules in a matter of seconds.

  • Publication number: 20220264973
Abstract: A load-bearing vest overlay jacket (“overlay jacket”) is an overgarment configured to be joined with and fastened to a load-bearing vest (“tactical vest”) so that an open front area exists between the front left and front right of the overlay jacket, permitting a user's access to equipment on the tactical vest. Thus, the overlay jacket may provide uniform, comfortable body temperatures in colder weather, to include arm warmth and upper torso warmth, as a function of either optionally-insulated sleeve and/or torso regions of the overlay jacket, or of torso warmth provided by the tactical vest underlying the overlay jacket.

  • Patent number: 10895101
Abstract: Adaptable fenestration frame members, fenestration units using the frame members, and methods of adapting the fenestration frame members. The adaptable fenestration frame members provide a construction that is adaptable for use in both pocket and non-pocket installations by including an adaptation channel forming an outside corner along one edge of the fenestration frame member. Removal of the outside corner converts that portion of the frame member from an outside corner to an inside corner, thus adapting the frame member for use in a pocket installation.

  • Publication number: 20200383620
Abstract: Systems and method are disclosed for determining a concentration of an analyte in a fluid (e.g., blood). The system can draw blood from a patient and deliver the blood to a sample cell. A particular component of the fluid (e.g., plasma) may be separated and/or positioned such that the concentration of the analyte is measured in the particular component of the fluid (e.g., plasma). The sample cell can include a sample container that has two window pieces. The system can have a fluid passage having a tip configured to mate with a multi-lumen catheter without leaking. The multi-lumen catheter can have proximal and distal ports. A fluid pressure system can be configured to periodically draw fluid from vasculature through a proximal intravascular opening and the proximal port while maintaining a low pressure and/or flow rate to thereby reduce risk of reversing the fluid flow in a vessel and drawing infusates upstream into another intravascular opening.
