Abstract: A vehicle mounted spreader for spreading materials such as sand, salt, or other granular chemicals onto snow and ice covered road surfaces comprises a hopper for containing the material to be spread, a spinner for spreading the material, a conveyor for conveying the material from the hopper to the spinner, a vehicle speed sensor, a load sensor, and a controller programmed with an intended density of material (e.g., pounds per acre) and desired width of coverage; within the controller the vehicle speed sensor measurement and load sensor inputs are processed to generate outputs to control the speed of the conveyor and spinner, to both control the rate of material distribution and the pattern of material distribution to approach the intended density and width.

Abstract: Examples include blocking an interface of a sponsor networking device from receiving data packets and receiving at the sponsor networking device an authentication packet from a first networking device. The first networking device is physically connected to the interface. Examples also include automatically setting by the first networking device, a unique local address for the first networking device; receiving, at the sponsor networking device, a local data packet from the first networking device, and translating, by the sponsor networking device, the local data packet to an off-fabric data packet.

Abstract: Systems and methods to identify a plurality of different snapshot versions for a rollback to a previous configuration for subsets of network infrastructure devices is disclosed. A plurality of different network device configuration snapshots is identified and a set of snapshot checkpoints that each include a set of related parameter settings for each different network device are selected as a rollback configuration snapshot for that device. Each device may be associated with automated validation capabilities to validate a proposed rollback version. The computer system may iterate through a set of versions of snapshots and automatically initiate validation capabilities to validate a proposed rollback for the first logical grouping. Determination of a set of configurations may be based on a version control tag to restore a network to an operational state, never before seen in operation, that has a high degree of confidence, in part, because validation tests were successful.

Abstract: Examples disclose a system comprising an integrated circuit to determine whether a data packet should be processed by a shared security engine associated with a secure link. Additionally, the examples disclose a first media access control (MAC), associated with the shared security engine, to receive the data packet for transmission on the secure link based on the determination the data packet should be processed by the shared security engine.

Abstract: There is provided dual use body armor that can be alternately used either as a hand held shield which can be concealed in a standard bag (such as an attache case) or worn as an armor vest, and which can be quickly converted from one use to the other. For this reason the shield would normally be of an approximately rectangular shape. The exact shape may be varied in order to fit in different types of carry bag, or to better conform (for the purpose of comfort or protection) to the shape of the body when unstowed or deployed and worn as a vest. When used as a vest, the invention is preferably comprised of two or more armor panels that unfold or deploy to protect an area of the front and back, and preferably also the side and lower abdomen, of the torso. The front armor panel, back armor panel, side armor panels, and lower abdomen armor panel, are all located on the body by means of a support system.
