  • Publication number: 20240115810
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to medicament injection devices. An injection device includes: a movable dosage programming component comprising a rotary encoder system having a predefined angular periodicity, a sensor arrangement including a first optical sensor configured to detect movement of the movable dosage programming component relative to the sensor arrangement during dosing of a medicament, wherein the first optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a first frequency, a second optical sensor configured to detect movement of the rotary encoder system relative to the second optical sensor wherein the second optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a second frequency lower than the first frequency, and a processor arrangement configured to, based on the detected movement, determine a medicament dosage administered by the injection device.

  • Patent number: 6651919
Abstract: A device for transferring fishing line between a supply spool (90) and a fishing reel (94) has a post (22) mounted between two rotatable footholds (30, 60) which are adapted to allow the user to hold the device between his feet as the line is fed from the spool to the reel. The post (22) is adapted to receive the fishing line supply spool, and to hold the spool (90) tightly on the post as line is pulled from the spool. The device of the present development is relatively small, can be used by one person unassisted, and does not require any particular mounting surface so it can be carried with the fisherman to any location where he is using his reel.

  • Patent number: 6526663
Abstract: A tonsorial device is provided that includes a comb releasably attached to a pair of shears. This tonsorial device allows the user to employ a one handed method of cutting hair. The attachment mechanism includes a nut having a polymeric core and a metallic casing. The nut may be hand tightened to provide easy adjustment of the device. The comb provided includes a channel, which receives one blade of the shears, and a notch which receives the collar of the nut. The comb-and-shears apparatus allows for the efficient attachment and detachment of a comb from a pair of shears.
