    Abstract: A heat sink (60) comprising thermally conductive legs (72, 74) for coupling to a heat pad (64), a plurality of heat-convecting fins (86) that are thermally coupled to the legs, and a surface (80) cantilevered by support structure (82) coupled between the legs (72, 74). One or more heat-convecting fins (88, 90) may extend directly from the support structure (82). A method for making the heat sink is also disclosed.
