  • Publication number: 20030205579
Abstract: A sewage basin arrangement is provided having a flange surface about the opening of the basin, a continuous groove formed in that flange surface which is spaced apart from the fastener apertures and disposed between those apertures and the opening, and a length of compressible sealing tape mounted within the groove and protruding in part from the groove. The tape is secured to the groove by an adhesive disposed within the groove. The ends of the tape laterally overlap within the groove.

  • Patent number: 6348657
Abstract: A power cord grommet is provided having a compressible, reverse tapered portion that is insertable into the power cord opening of a sewage or sump basin cover and expandable therein when subjected to higher fluid pressures from within the sump basin so as to form a tighter seal against that opening. That expandability under higher fluid pressure is facilitated by a plurality of tapered recesses in the bottom surface of the grommet adjacent the reverse tapered portion. A hole is provided in the grommet to receive the power cord, and a slit is cut from the hole to the side of the grommet to allow the cord to be inserted into the hole.

  • Publication number: 20010037827
Abstract: A template is provided for pump feet cups that is separately formed from the sump basin, positioned therein via sump basin flats to have a predetermined orientation with respect to the sump basin cover, and then attached to the sump basin to maintain a fixed position therein. A single template can be used with a variety of pump feet orientations by forming the template from a plurality of cups joined by a separable web. Foam or like material can be placed within the cups to receive the pump feet. Where the sump basin is formed from polyethylene material, the template can be molded from like material and then fixed to the lower interior surface of the sump basin by ultrasonic welding.
