  • Publication number: 20240154429
Abstract: A common reference signal is used by a plurality of serially-connected power optimizers to manage a plurality of photovoltaic panels. It is determined whether an individual voltage output exceeds an individual limit. If so, a corresponding photovoltaic panel in the plurality of photovoltaic panels is adjusted to reduce the individual voltage output and the combined voltage output, where the combined voltage output is based at least in part on (a) the individual voltage output and (2) at least one other individual voltage output associated with another power optimizer. It is determined whether the combined voltage output relative to the common reference signal exceeds a maximum offset. If so, the corresponding photovoltaic panel in the plurality of photovoltaic panels is adjusted to reduce the individual voltage output and the combined voltage output.

Abstract: A machine for packing elongate bags for use with a waste disposal apparatus is disclosed herein. The machine comprises means for holding a reel of flexible tubing, the flexible tubing wound on the reel as a film having two parallel edges, the flexible tubing, when opened, forming a ring of elongate flexible tubing having an aperture at at least one end. The machine also comprises a pair of gripping means configured to engage and grip a region proximate to each edge of the film and draw the film of flexible tubing off of the reel, and a jig configured to be inserted into the aperture and hold a portion of the film in a ring around the jig, the jig configured to hold the film adjacent to and in engagement with the gripping means. Operation of the gripping means causes the film of elongate flexible tubing to be drawn over the jig and to be gathered in a ring of compacted flexible tubing around a base of the jig.

  • Patent number: 11297824
Abstract: An improved exclusion barrier including a plurality of elongate members extending in a generally upright condition between a sea floor and a sea surface. The elongate members are improved to provide a more uniform surface area for the prevention of sharks passing through upper portions of the barrier and maximizing the exclusion capabilities of the overall barrier network. The elongate members include, in addition to permanent magnets, hydro-electric power generation mechanisms for powering electro-magnets within the elongate members to produce a stronger electro-magnetic deterrent field across the barrier network, and also include telescoping mechanisms to allow for a variance in length of each member in coordination with changing wave and water levels and to provide additional pump action for hydro-electric power generation within each elongate member. The exclusion barrier is also secured to the sea floor by an anchoring base having evenly spaced anchoring locations.
