  • Patent number: 11980713
Abstract: Several methods of supporting respiratory function of a patient before, during and/or after a medical procedure are disclosed. In certain arrangements, supporting respiratory function while a patient is under general anaesthesia can include providing a high gas flow a high gas flow that is greater than 15 L/min while the patient is under general anaesthesia. In certain arrangements, a method of providing ventilation while a patient is under general anaesthesia involves providing only a gas flow delivered through a nasal interface that is greater than 15 L/min while the patient is under general anaesthesia.

  • Publication number: 20240108847
Abstract: A breathing assistance apparatus and method of controlling a breathing assistance apparatus is disclosed. Particularly, the breathing assistance apparatus is controlled such that it has a drying cycle to enable drying of the tubing that supplies gases to a user and prevent the harbouring of pathogens within the tube. The drying cycle is preferably operated automatically by internal controllers in the apparatus. However, it may be manually activated by pressing a button on the apparatus. The drying cycle is preferably activated at the end of a user's treatment session.

  • Publication number: 20240104234
Abstract: Encrypted information retrieval can include generating a database that is partitioned into shards each having a shard identifier, and database entries in each shard that are partitioned into buckets having a bucket identifier. A batch of client-encrypted queries are received. The batch of client-encrypted queries are processed using a set of server-encrypted data stored in a database. The processing includes grouping the client-encrypted queries according to shard identifiers of the client-encrypted queries, executing multiple queries in the group of client-encrypted queries for the shard together in a batch execution process, and generating multiple server-encrypted results to the multiple queries in the group of client-encrypted queries. The multiple server-encrypted results for each shard are transmitted to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20220262013
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices are disclosed for improving markerless motion analysis. One method including: receiving position data of joint centers of a body in motion captured by at least one camera; enhancing, using model equations, three-dimensional (3D) angular kinematic data of the position data of the joint centers of the body, wherein the enhanced 3D angular kinematic data includes increased measurement accuracy of the position data of the joint centers of the body; and providing the enhanced 3d angular kinematic data for display to evaluate motion performance.

  • Publication number: 20180041338
Abstract: The present invention can provide a system to facilitate encryption/decryption of sensitive data/information online. It will revolutionize the way data is encrypted because it provides a way for individuals to discretely protect their data both at rest and in motion, and it allows users the ability to decide whom the data are shared with. The present invention can become valuable to businesses and companies by reducing the exposure of sensitive information in the event of a data breach, and by extension it reduces costs related to recovering from a data breach.

  • Publication number: 20170000389
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure may include initializing a first plurality of inertial measurement units (IMUs) and a second plurality of IMUs, and attaching the first plurality of IMUs to a first segment of a subject and the second plurality of IMUs to a second segment of the subject. Such a method may also include obtaining data from the first plurality of IMUs and the second plurality of IMUs as the subject performs a motion, and determining an absolute position of the first segment and the second segment based on the data.
