  • Publication number: 20070261523
Abstract: An adjustable food slicer is provided. The adjustable food slicer includes a handle having a grasping portion and a pair of side members extending from the grasping portion. A blade for slicing or planing vegetables, cheeses, or other sliceable food items, extends between the opposing side members. An adjustment mechanism is operatively connected to a spacer, wherein the adjustment mechanism and spacer are connected to the handle. The adjustment mechanism includes a rotatable dial that causes the spacer to move relative to the blade, thereby adjusting the distance between the spacer and blade for allowing the user to selectively adjust the thickness of the slice being removed.

  • Publication number: 20060017658
Abstract: An illuminated sign includes a plurality of sections. Each section includes a mesh of conductors having illuminating pixels located at conductor intersections. The mesh is surrounded by a frame connected to the frame of another section. Once frame sections of the display are unfolded, the display can be supported by a structure attached to a car or other vehicle. A support structure for an illuminated display includes a base which is placed on the ground and over which the tire of a vehicle (e.g., a police car) is parked. A column extends from the base, and a display can be attached to the top of that extending column. The support structure can take the form of a collapsible stand having a trunk which is pivotally attached to a base and which contains a telescoping section.

  • Patent number: 6659272
Abstract: A storing and transporting system for compact discs (“CD's”) for recorded audio materials and related accessory materials such as notebooks or booklets comprising an outside case of flat, clamshell configuration defining two storage areas, and one or two box-like disc containers of similar configuration to be nested in the storage areas and each having a tray-like body for holding a stack of discs in flexible storage envelopes. Guides and partitions in the case define the two storage areas and hold the stored items snugly therein, and the containers have removable retainers for holding a selected number of disc envelopes therein. Integral recessed latches hold the covers releasably in closed positions, and the case and the container are sized to receive and hold preselected numbers of discs and booklets of related materials so as to be highly versatile in use, and are provided with convenient label areas.
