Publication number: 20250077256Abstract: A method for managing an LCS includes: sending a request to a microvisor kernel of a microvisor to provision an LCS on a first information handling system (IHS), wherein the request comprises at least a configuration template (CT); sending a second request to the microvisor kernel to verify that an enclave with a virtual trusted platform module (vTPM) is ready to communicate with the LCS; initiating, based successfully verifying, provisioning of the LCS based on the CT, wherein the provisioning of the LCS comprises at least an initiation of a guest basic input/output system (BIOS) of the LCS; receiving a notification, from the microvisor kernel, specifying that the LCS has been provisioned; after the notification has been received: sending a second notification to a user of the first IHS, wherein the second notification specifies a predetermined expiry date of the enclave with the vTPM on the first IHS.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2023Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Douglas L. Farley, Srinivas Giri Raju Gowda, David Craig Lawson, Shawn Mathew Swanson

Publication number: 20250077653Abstract: A method for managing a microvisor includes: issuing an API call to a microvisor agent to obtain a configuration template (CT) required to provision an LCS on an IHS; upon obtaining the CT, sending the CT to a microvisor kernel via the microvisor API; provisioning the LCS based on the CT; upon provisioning of the LCS and based on the microvisor kernel's request, initiating a guest BIOS of the LCS; notifying, via a GUI, an administrator about the provisioned LCS; after notifying the administrator: monitoring communication traffic of the LCS; analyzing the communication traffic to generate an analysis output; making, based on the analysis output, a determination that the activity is a malicious activity; and implementing, based on the determination, a security policy to disrupt a malicious user of the LCS.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2023Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Douglas L. Farley, Srinivas Giri Raju Gowda, David Craig Lawson, Shawn Mathew Swanson

Publication number: 20250077654Abstract: A method for managing an LCS includes: sending a request to a microvisor kernel (MK) of a microvisor to provision an LCS on a first IHS; initiating provisioning of the LCS based on a configuration template; receiving a notification, from the MK, specifying that the LCS has been provisioned; after the notification has been received: obtaining first metadata associated with the first IHS and second metadata associated with a second IHS; analyzing the first metadata and second metadata to extract relevant data; inferring, based on the relevant data, that the first IHS has at least the required amount of hardware resources to execute a vBMC associated with the first IHS; sending, based on the inferring, a second request to an SCP of the first IHS to generate the vBMC on the first IHS; and receiving a second notification, from the SCP, specifying that the vBMC is generated on the SCP.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2023Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Douglas L. Farley, Srinivas Giri Raju Gowda, David Craig Lawson, Shawn Mathew Swanson

Patent number: 12145312Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an additive manufacturing (AM) method for making a three-dimensional (3D) object, comprising a) depositing successive layers of a powdered material (M), at least partially recycled, comprising at least one poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK), having a phosphorus content of more than 30 ppm, as measured by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), and b) selectively sintering each layer prior to deposition of the subsequent layer.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2019Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: SOLVAY SPECIALTY POLYMERS USA, LLCInventors: Chantal Louis, Christopher Ward, Craig Swanson

Publication number: 20230417295Abstract: A viscous clutch head may be replaced by selecting a viscous clutch head and a mount adapter. The viscous clutch head and the mount adapter may be selected from a group of universal modular fan drives and from a group of mount adapters. The mount adapter of a threaded type or a flange and bolt type may be selected. Depending on the viscous clutch head to be replaced, a fan adapter and/or a pilot adapter may also be selected from a group of fan adapters and from a group of pilot adapters. Accordingly, a range of models of viscous fan clutch systems may be replaced by using a limited number of parts. These parts may be stored on a tool cart. As different models of viscous fan clutch systems may be replaced using a limited number of parts, the in-stock inventory of replacement parts may be reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Kit Masters Inc.Inventors: Craig SWANSON, Dale SCHERMAN

Publication number: 20210253793Abstract: Poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK) composites include reinforcing fibers in a PEKK polymer matrix that includes a PEKK polymer. It was surprisingly discovered that by washing unneutralized PEKK polymer powder with an acid or base, the melt stability of the PEKK polymers can be improved, as compared with PEKK polymers prepared by conventional methods. The PEKK composites are especially well-suited for fabrication of thick composite parts where melt stability is especially important.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2019Publication date: August 19, 2021Inventors: Chantal LOUIS, James PRATTE, Craig SWANSON

Patent number: 10677326Abstract: A tensioner system may be replaced by selecting replacement components. Components such as a housing, roller arm, pulley, and index plate locating pin may be selected from a group of housings, roller arms, pulleys, and index plate locating pins, respectively. The selection of the components allows a user to assemble multiple variations of tensioner that are commercially available. The location of the index plate locating pin on the index plate allows for proper orientation of the tensioner in the vehicle in order to apply the proper tension to a belt. The selection of the components may be based on current tensioner model, or based on dimensions measured from the current tensioner.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2017Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: KIT MASTERSInventors: Craig Swanson, Dale Scherman, Daniel Huwe
