  • Patent number: 7514938
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for measuring the dielectric relaxation properties of a sample are disclosed. Methods are disclosed for amplifying or controlling the dielectric relaxation properties of a sample by adding particles, such as functionally coated particles. In certain methods, the particles amplify or control the dielectric relaxation properties of the sample by interacting with counter ions in the sample. In some embodiments, the methods use a dielectric relaxation spectroscopy apparatus with remote electrodes.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring product through a batch manufacturing plant is provided. The system includes, a parallel flow mode when product flows concurrently from at least two units to a single unit; and a serial flow mode where product flows from one unit to another at a given time, wherein the batch manufacturing plant is modeled based on the parallel and serial flow modes. A lot association is built based on product flow and a parent/child record is created for lot association. The system also includes a data collection system that collects phase information for every unit and a procedure identifier is used to create a batch identifier, where a batch identifier is associated with each lot on each unit through which product is flowing to and/or from at a given time.

  • Patent number: 7516284
Abstract: Provided is a method for removing alias addresses from an alias address pool. A plurality of alias addresses are assigned to an alias address pool, wherein the alias addresses in the alias address pool are capable of being dynamically assigned to a device to service I/O requests to the device. An operation is initiated by a process to remove a specified alias address from the alias address pool. An indicator is set to prevent additional processes from removing one alias address from the alias address pool in response to initiating the operation. The specified alias address is removed from the alias address pool.
