    Abstract: A blow-molded plastic container having a separately formed and permanently attached handle. The container has a blow-molded body portion with an inwardly set recess. An elongate plastic handle is attached to the sidewall of the container such that it spans across the recess in spaced relation. The handle has a grip portion and opposite ends which are secured to the body portion by welding techniques. The recess has a vacuum flex panel to accommodate changes resulting from hot-fill processing.
