    Abstract: A power-supply and recharge group for an electric vehicle comprising: a first battery pack; a second battery pack; a first DC-to-DC converter; a second DC-to-DC converter; a low-voltage power-supply source; and a control unit configured to: detect a charge difference between a first and a second battery pack; transfer an electric current from a low-voltage power-supply source to the one of the first and second battery pack having a lower charge, until said charge difference is cancelled; connect the first and the second battery pack to one another in series and recharge them by means of a recharge station on the outside of the vehicle. A direct connection between the DC-to-DC converters can replace the auxiliary low-voltage source.

    Abstract: A recharging method and assembly to charge an electric vehicle comprising a battery pack including a plurality of storage batteries having a same nominal charge voltage, the battery pack being connectable to a recharging station adapted to provide a recharging voltage, which is greater than said nominal charge voltage. In a recharging mode, in which the recharging voltage deliverable by the recharging station is equal to or greater than the sum of the nominal charge voltages of the plurality of storage batteries, the storage batteries are connected in series to one another, so as to recharge the series of batteries with a recharging voltage greater than the nominal charge voltage.
