Abstract: A paint recovery and cleaning trolley is provided for an apparatus for applying paint provided with a belt for conveying pieces to be painted. The conveyor belt has an upper outward section and a lower return section. The trolley includes a paint recovery subunit and a cleaning subunit. Each subunit includes a reverse roller in contact with the lower return section of the conveyor belt, a doctor blade tangentially placed with respect to the reverse roller for all its length, and a doctor blade scraping the lower return section of the conveyor belt. In each subunit the respective reverse roller, doctor blades and return section of the conveyor belt form a closed chamber having the shape of a triangular prism, of which the components represent the rectangular faces and that contains a solvent which drips from the triangular faces into a respective collecting hopper.

Abstract: A paint spraying machine includes an apparatus for containing and removing the leakage of paint drops from a rotating joint, without the risk of damaging the article being sprayed, and thus without the need for downtime to replace sealing elements. The rotating joint includes a hollow shaft for distributing paint, a drum including a plurality of flanges that define separate chambers for different paints, a plurality of seals for separating the different paints in the different chambers which together form a high-pressure circuit, a low-pressure circuit to refrigerate the seals, improve their sealing and possibly intercept leaking paint, and a plurality of centering rings provide for correct assembly of the seals and the correct alignment of different flanges. The rings are hollow, and allow for the passage of the refrigerating/cleaning liquid under low pressure.

The conveyor belt has an upper section and a lower return section comprising a (a) reverse roller in contact with the return section of the belt to collect the fluid substances on the belt; (b) doctor blade for scraping the fluid substances collected from the reverse roller; (c) at least one secondary belt conveyor mounted on a pair of supporting rollers and disposed beneath the doctor blade for collecting the fluid substances from the doctor blade and for conveying the fluid substances toward one end of said secondary belt conveyor; and (d) means at the end of the secondary belt conveyor for scraping the fluid substances from the secondary belt conveyor and for conveying the substances to a final collection and/or recycling means.
