  • Patent number: 11851900
Abstract: A temporary upright post includes rail supports for holding temporary lateral guardrails and a mounting system for mounting to a permanent upright stanchion of a permanent railing system for an elevated surface. The mounting system includes a longitudinal bore in the lower portion of the upright post that removably receives the stanchion with a loose fit, and the mechanical securement tightens the post to the stanchion to secure them together for use and loosens to release the post for installation and removal. Example embodiments also include a support bearing that is repositionable to contact and support the post in an elevated position on the stanchion, up and away from the elevated surface, or to disengage from mechanical interference with the stanchion so the post can be lowered to the use position.

  • Publication number: 20230258017
Abstract: A mounting base retains a leg of a tent in place on a seat pan/plank and a coupling secures the mounting base to the seat pan/plank to securely mount the tent to the seat. The mounting base includes a mounting plate with an open-ended slot that is sufficiently large to laterally slidingly receive the tent leg and sufficiently small to retain a foot of the tent leg from longitudinally passing through the slot. Typical embodiments include a recessed portion of the mounting base that receives the tent leg foot when the tent leg is in the slot, the coupling provided by a strap that mounts the mounting base to the seat pan, and a closure that closes off the slot to retain the tent leg in the slot, with the strap double functioning as the coupling and the closure in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 8621752
Abstract: A pruning clipper includes a pair of handles each having a distal end and a proximal end, with the handles being pivotally connected to each other close to the proximal ends of the handles. A first blade is connected to the proximal end of one of said handles, and a second blade is connected to the proximal end of the other handle. A chemical storage tank may be positioned within the distal end of one of said handles for storing a chemical to be selectively applied to vegetation. A bulb is connected to the proximal end of one of the handles, with the bulb being connected to the tank using a first connecting tube. A dispensing member extends along one of the blades and beyond the blade to a dispersion point, and the dispensing member is connected to the bulb using a second connecting tube. The user will thus cut the vegetation using the clippers, and selectively dispense an herbicide at the precise time and point as desired by the user.

A dispensing member extends along the side of one of the blades and beyond the blade to a dispersion point, and the dispensing member is connected to the bulb using a second connecting tube. As a result, the user will be able to cut the vegetation as desired using the clippers, and selectively dispense an herbicide as desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 7481317
Abstract: A briefcase that is used to jointly support a projector and a computer and to allow quick and easy connection between the projector and the computer prior to the presentation, only one power connection from the briefcase to the electrical outlet upon arrival and without requiring that either of the components be removed from the briefcase for desired operation. The briefcase includes a first section to receive the computer and a second section to receive the projector, with the first section and the second section sharing a center partition. A first securing or closure member is connected to the central partition, and a first connecting element is attached proximate one end of the closure member, with a corresponding first connecting element being affixed proximate one edge of the first outer surface to secure the computer in the first section.
