Each jaw member includes a proximal portion and a distal body extending distally from the clevis. The proximal portion of the first jaw member includes a first flag disposed between the first and second arms of the clevis, operably coupled to both the pivot pin and the cam pin, extending vertically at least partially through openings defined within the ceiling and floor. The proximal portion of the second jaw member includes second and third flags disposed between the first and second arms of the clevis in spaced-apart relative to one another and between the ceiling and the floor. A coloration/treatment process is engaged on captured extension hair in the lateral space between the first comb teeth row and the second comb teeth row. A hair extension retention system can utilize pins pushed into a pin receiving member and/or a magnetic attraction between a magnetically charged element and a magnetically attracting element. The hair extension bar assembly can be supported by a floor, table, clamp or other support system. Hair styling tools can be supported by an accessory retention member, such as a magnetic bar carried by the elongated platform.
