    Abstract: A glyphosate-tolerant tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) variety in one form known as Matador GT (experimental code PST-5TU0), seed used to produce the grass, and methods of using the grass plant and the seed are provided. This grass is suitable for use in lawns, athletic fields, golf courses, sod, and other turfs where weeds are a problem. Weed control in areas planted with the disclosed grasses can be achieved by direct application of glyphosate herbicides, for example at a rate of at least 4 ounces per acre, such as at least 8 ounces per acre.
