    Abstract: An apparatus for selectively diverting same size articles including a conveying apparatus, a pusher device positioned proximal the conveying apparatus, at least one divergent pathway disposed transverse to the conveying apparatus and substantially opposite the pusher device, and at least one sensor positioned proximal the pusher device, wherein the sensor is operable to detect the presence or absence of an article on the conveyor apparatus and actuate the pusher device to selectively push the article to the divergent pathway. A velocity control device operates to control the flow of articles along the conveying device.
