The disinfecting device has a housing with an interior and at least one radiation source arranged in the interior. The radiation source can emit germicidal electromagnetic radiation. The disinfecting device also has a device, arranged in the interior of the housing, and a radiation measurement sensor. The device is arranged between the radiation source and a radiation-transmissive side wall of the housing. The device allows sufficient detection by the radiation measurement sensor of a portion of the radiation emitted by the radiation source.
