  • Patent number: 12649476
Abstract: Systems and methods for improved tracking of articulated vehicles can obtain, through one or more sensor systems onboard a vehicle, sensor data descriptive of an environment of the vehicle, the environment including an articulated vehicle having at least a first portion and a second portion; generate based on the sensor data, first state data for the first portion of the articulated vehicle and second state data for the second portion of the articulated vehicle; determine an articulated vehicle relationship between the first portion and the second portion based on the first state data for the first portion and the second state data for the second portion; generate, using an articulated vehicle motion model, synthetic motion data for the second portion based on the first state data for the first portion; and update the second state data of the second portion based on the synthetic motion data.

  • Publication number: 20260116381
Abstract: Systems and methods to determine a potential interference between an object and an autonomous vehicle are disclosed. The method can include obtaining object-track data and autonomous vehicle-track data and determining that at least a portion of the track of the object overlaps with the track of the autonomous vehicle. The method can include determining that a threshold quantity of first sensor data points associated with the track of the object is at least partially within a threshold distance of the track of the autonomous vehicle. The method can include determining that the first sensor data points have a threshold closing velocity relative to the autonomous vehicle. The method can include determining an occurrence of a potential interference between the object and the autonomous vehicle for the first timeframe, based on determining that the first sensor data points have a threshold closing velocity relative to the autonomous vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10732262
Abstract: An automotive detection system includes a first sensor which transmits first transmitted signals into a region and receives first reflected signals and generates first receive signals. A second sensor transmits second transmitted signals into the region and receives second reflected signals and generates second receive signals. A processor: receives first portions of the first and second receive signals and processes the first portions to generate a relative misalignment angle related to misalignment of the first and second sensors relative to each other; receives a second portion of the first receive signals; uses the received second portion of the first receive signals to determining an absolute misalignment angle of the first sensor independent of an absolute misalignment angle of the second sensor; and uses the relative misalignment angle and the absolute misalignment angle of the first sensor to generate the absolute misalignment angle of the second sensor.
