Patent number: 10315118Abstract: Personal characteristic may be identified by receiving, at a server, game data indicative of a plurality of games, determining a first comparative game performance associated with a first game of the plurality of games, deriving a personal character from the first comparative game performance, and providing an indication of the personal characteristic. Each game of the plurality of games is designed to assess at least one personal characteristic. The personal characteristics may comprise abilities, skills, and/or interests. The first comparative game performance is determined, for example, based on the game data and comparative game information that is indicative of a comparison between game performance associated with the first game and respective game performance associated with at least one other game of the plurality of games.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2015Date of Patent: June 11, 2019Assignee: IDENTIFOR, INC.Inventors: Cuong Do, Wayne Scholar

Publication number: 20180134544Abstract: A temperature-compensated resonant MEMS device comprises a first and second oscillator circuits comprising a first and second resonant MEMS devices and providing a first and second oscillator outputs. One of the resonant MEMS devices is a temperature reference for the other. A level-sensitive mixer circuit has first and second inputs coupled to the first and second oscillator outputs and has a mixer output to provide a signal responsive to a level of the first and second oscillator outputs. The mixer output comprises sum and difference frequency components of the first and second oscillator outputs. A low-pass filter is coupled to the mixer output to attenuate the sum frequency component of the mixer output. An output coupled to an output of said low-pass filter provides a signal responsive to the difference frequency component.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2016Publication date: May 17, 2018Inventors: ASHWIN SESHIA, CUONG DO

Patent number: 9398155Abstract: A system related to connecting customers to agents of a business includes an inbound (INB) interactive voice response (IVR) computer, an outbound (OUTB) IVR, and a computer telephony interface (CTI) computer. The INB IVR computer receives an inbound call from a customer and determines that there is a delay in a call queue of a call center. The OUTB IVR places an agent outbound call (on behalf of the customer) to the INB IVR which is then placed into the queue of the call center in response to the customer selecting a call-back option. The CTI computer then monitors the call center, and sends a notification to the OUTB IVR processor in response to the agent outbound call connecting to the available agent. Responsive to the notification, the OUTB IVR computer places a customer outbound call to the customer to connect the customer to the available agent.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2014Date of Patent: July 19, 2016Assignee: VERIZON PATENT AND LICENSING INC.Inventors: Michael Brimshan, Thomas Robert Hessel, Jonathan Doucette, Cuong Do-Vu

Patent number: 9298752Abstract: A system for migrating data items from a source cluster to a destination cluster in a database system. During operation, while the database continues to process live database traffic, the system records a current position in an operation log for the database, wherein the operation log comprises a sequential record of operations applied to the database. Next, the system retrieves data items from the source cluster, and inserts the copies of the retrieved data items into the destination cluster. The system also applies a sequence of updates, starting from the recorded position in the operation log, to the copies of the data items in the destination cluster. Finally, after the sequence of updates is applied, the system performs a cut-over operation that diverts the live database traffic from the data items on the source cluster to the copies of the data items on the destination cluster.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2013Date of Patent: March 29, 2016Assignee: DROPBOX, INC.Inventor: Cuong Do

Patent number: 6206284Abstract: An automated bank teller machine (ATM) is provided which is characteristically easy to configure, regardless of whether a replenish-from-the-front (RFTF) configuration or a replenish-from-the-rear (RFTR) configuration is chosen. In particular, the ATM according to the present invention includes a security chest module, a top module, and an interface module. These components are common to both configurations can be built and stored in advance, and can be thereafter configured as desired. In another embodiment, an ATM is provided that permits more than one customer to use the ATM at the same time.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Citicorp Development Center, Inc.Inventors: Cuong Do, Avery Bairamian, Xuan S. Bui, Joe Butryn, Edward M. R. Dudasik, Marc Andino Guzman, Nhut Trung Ha, Mohammed Khan, Mitsuru Tamura, Randal H. Yokomoto

Patent number: 6061666Abstract: An automatic bank teller machine (ATM) that uses a combination of simple visual cues, large-type visual displays, audio, and a touch-sensitive display screen to facilitate use of the ATM by the blind and visually impaired, while still being useful for the sighted. In particular, the ATM uses a touch-sensitive display screen that has a fixed, easy to locate touch scanning zone. The display screen operates by contacting the screen, with a fingertip, for example, and slidingly moving to a location on the touch scanning zone corresponding to an item to be input, such as one of the numbers 0 to 9, for example.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1996Date of Patent: May 9, 2000Assignee: Citicorp Development CenterInventors: Cuong Do, Michael Merman

Patent number: 5768386Abstract: An improved touch screen encryption device and method is disclosed. The user selects information from prompts displayed on a touch screen. The improved device determines the input information based upon the location of the touch. The device encrypts the information--for example, the user's personal identification number--and sends the encrypted information to a remote processor. The device and method may be used by a financial institution (such as a bank), a postal services institution or wherever sensitive information is input through a touch screen.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1996Date of Patent: June 16, 1998Assignee: Transaction Technology, Inc.Inventors: Randal H. Patent number: 5349659Abstract: A system and method are described for decreasing the synthesis time required for realizing digital circuit net lists using library logic elements. The system consists of a logic processor working in concert with a cell library register, a hierarchical cell array memory, and a match register, for the purpose of hierarchically ordering, matching and eliminating equivalencies in the canonical forms of library cells. The method includes the reduction of all library elements to their canonical forms and the hierarchical ordering of the these canonicals based on the number of nodes contained in each element. Once ordered, the canonicals are mapped by logic elements having fewer nodes, beginning with the simplest of the canonical forms. Redundantly mapped logical elements are eliminated and the resulting reduced set is stored for subsequent use.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1992Date of Patent: September 20, 1994Assignee: Cadence Design Systems, Inc.Inventors: Cuong Do, Ruey-Sing Wei
