  • Publication number: 20120241176
Abstract: A system for use in a multi-story building is provided. The system may include a pipe apparatus having an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is coupled to a supply of fluid and the outlet directs the fluid. The system may include a frame assembly for supporting the pipe apparatus and enabling the inlet of the pipe apparatus to couple to the supply of fluid at a first floor of the building and enabling the outlet to deliver fluid to a higher floor of the building relative to the first floor. The system may include an electrically controlled fluid delivery device mounted at said outlet and in fluid communication with the pipe apparatus. The system may include a power supply having a power source located remotely from said electrically controlled fluid delivery device and supported by the frame assembly.

  • Patent number: 7986616
Abstract: A network device for processing packets. The network devices includes a ingress module for performing lookups for layer 2 switching and performing operations for maintaining a layer 2 table. When the ingress module updates the layer 2 table, the ingress module records the operation performed on the layer 2 table in a modification buffer. Entries are added to the modification buffer when the layer 2 table is modified and in the order in which the layer 2 table was modified. The network device thus enables reconstruction of the layer 2 table by performing the operations in the modification buffer.

  • Publication number: 20080282022
Abstract: A technique to identify portions of software that does not change over time, in order to store that portion in ROM, instead of RAM, to reduce RAM size. The smaller RAM conserves space on a chip and consumes less power. The technique allows wireless devices, such as cell phones, to use less RAM.
