  • Patent number: 11951969
Abstract: A control arrangement for a brake system having a plurality of electrically-controlled hydraulic valves includes a primary electronic control unit (“ECU”) including a primary microcontroller for selectively providing at least one of electrical power and a control signal in a normal non-failure braking mode. A secondary ECU is electrically connected to the primary ECU via a power connector and a controller area network (“CAN”) communication bus. The secondary ECU obtains electrical power from a wiring system of a vehicle associated with the brake system. A backup microcontroller is associated with a chosen one of the primary and secondary ECUs, receiving electrical power and a control signal from the secondary ECU. The backup microcontroller selectively provides at least one of electrical power and a control signal in a backup braking mode responsive to the control signal from the secondary ECU.

  • Publication number: 20230414270
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are provided for treating conditions of the heart, particularly the occurrence of arrhythmias, more particularly atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia, to name a few. The devices, systems and methods deliver therapeutic pulsed electric field energy to portions the heart to provide tissue modification, such as to the entrances to the pulmonary veins in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Such tissue modification creates a conduction block within the tissue to prevent the transmission of aberrant electrical signals. Generally, the tissue modification systems include a specialized catheter, a high voltage waveform generator and at least one distinct energy delivery algorithm. Example embodiments of specialized catheter designs are provided and include a variety of delivery types including focal delivery, “one-shot” delivery and various possible combinations.

The devices, systems and methods deliver therapeutic energy to portions the heart to provide tissue modification, such as to the entrances to the pulmonary veins in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Generally, the tissue modification systems include a specialized catheter, a high voltage waveform generator and at least one distinct energy delivery algorithm. Other embodiments include conventional ablation catheters and system components to enable use with a high voltage waveform generator. Example catheter designs include a variety of delivery types including focal delivery, “one-shot” delivery and various possible combinations. In some embodiments, energy is delivered in a monopolar fashion. However, it may be appreciated that a variety of other embodiments are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6978902
Abstract: An skateboard security rack having a pair of support members defining a slot therebetween for receiving the deck of a skateboard. At least one of the support members has a width smaller than the wheelbase of the skateboard received in the slot. Locking structure between the support members and across the top of the slot retains the skateboard within the slot. The locking structure may be separate elements coupled to each of the support members and a lock therebetween. Alternatively, the locking structure may be a lock such as a conventional U-shape lock. If separate elements coupled to each of the support members are used, they may be fixed in place, or movable such as longitudinally slideable along the support members. The support members may be elongated hollow or solid members, or formed in panels. The support members are desirably hollow tubes bent into inverted U-shapes. Bases of the support members may be mounted to a variety of base surfaces such as flat or curvilinear, horizontal or vertical.

  • Patent number: 3978786
Abstract: An apparatus used in the formation of visible copies of an image, the establishment of an electric field embracing a screen laden with toner material and a platen supporting a receiving sheet, and spraying ions in an image formation upon the toner on the screen in a sign which will cause the resultant toner particles to be impelled by the field upon the sheet.
