    Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a battery having a housing. The housing includes a rear side which is defined as a side facing away from a forward travelling direction of the electric vehicle. The electric vehicle further includes a frame, a motor having a housing, and a pivot shaft stack-up assembly co-aligned along a pivot shaft axis. The pivot shaft stack-up assembly includes first and second portions of the frame, a swingarm extending therebetween, and an idler bracket. A shock mount is integral with the battery housing. The shock mount extends from the rear side of the battery housing. The battery housing is configured as a stressed chassis member in which each of the motor housing, the frame, and the pivot shaft stack-up assembly are aligned thereof. The shock mount provides a path along which a load is directed to the battery housing.
