  • Patent number: 11918943
Abstract: A turbine engine having a compressor section, a combustor section, a turbine section, and a rotatable drive shaft that couples a portion of the turbine section and a portion of the compressor section. A bypass conduit couples the compressor section to the turbine section while bypassing at least the combustion section. At least one particle separator is located in the turbine engine having a separator inlet that receives a bypass stream, a separator outlet that receives a reduced-particle stream flows, and a particle outlet that receives a concentrated-particle stream comprising separated particles. A conduit, fluidly coupled to the particle outlet, extends through an interior of at least one stationary vane.

  • Publication number: 20230265680
Abstract: An embodiment is directed to a touch bar exit device for use on an exit door. The touch bar exit device include a touch bar and a link bar which moves as the touch bar is depressed. A return mechanism is mounted on the link bar. A damper mechanism is mounted on the link bar. The damper mechanism limits the travel of the link bar and the touch bar to dampen the sound of the touch bar exit device when the touch bar is depressed.

  • Publication number: 20230124502
Abstract: An example bushing of a hydraulic hammer tool includes an outer region and an inner region. The inner region has a relatively greater hardness than the outer region. The inner region may also be compressively stressed, while the outer region may have tensile stress. The stress and/or hardness profile of the bushing may enhance its resistance to wear and galling defects when a hammer of the hydraulic hammer tool is held in alignment by the bushing. The outer region of the bushing may be relatively soft, resulting in the bushing having a relatively high level of toughness. The bushing may be formed using medium to high carbon steel by rough forming the bushing, hardening the bushing, tempering the bushing, and induction softening the outer region of the bushing.

  • Publication number: 20220412406
Abstract: An example bushing of a hydraulic hammer tool includes a bulk region and an inner region. The inner region has a relatively greater hardness than the bulk region. The inner region may also be compressively stressed, while the bulk region may have tensile stress. The stress and/or hardness profile of the bushing may enhance its resistance to wear and galling defects when a hammer of the hydraulic hammer tool is held in alignment by the bushing. The bulk region of the bushing may be relatively soft, resulting in the bushing having a relatively high level of toughness. The bushing may be formed using medium to high carbon steel by rough forming the bushing, hardening the bushing, tempering the bushing, induction hardening the inner region of the bushing, and then quenching the inner region.

  • Publication number: 20140276197
Abstract: A system, a method, and an apparatus are described herein for determining skin test sensitivities. A first skin test to evaluate a patient's skin reaction to one or more allergens may he performed. After measurements are taken of any reactions to the first skin test, a second skin test may be performed based on the results of the first skin test. Based on the results of the second test, an appropriate treatment endpoint for the patient may be determined. A computer-implemented method may be used for determining skin test sensitivities that may guide a user through one or more appropriate test selection and treatment endpoint determinations.

  • Publication number: 20070275592
Abstract: A battery adapter allowing a physically smaller battery or batteries to be used interchangeably in an application where a physically larger battery would normally be used. The adapter can be formed economically and be used with standard of rechargeable batteries.
