  • Patent number: 11912174
Abstract: A support base for a child safety seat includes a support leg operable to retract and expand at a bottom of the support base, an actuating part operably coupled to a first and a second latch, and an actuating button. The support leg includes multiple segments, and a first and a second sliding connection each of which respectively coupling two adjacent ones of the segments. The first latch is operable to lock and unlock the first sliding connection. The second latch is operable to lock and unlock the second sliding connection. The actuating part is operable to urge the first latch to move for unlocking the first sliding connection and to urge the second latch to move for unlocking the second sliding connection. The actuating button is assembled with the first segment adjacent to a distal end of thereof, and is operable to actuate the actuating part.

  • Patent number: 11897373
Abstract: A car seat configured to be fastened to a vehicle, includes a seat shell and a belt guide disposed at the seat shell to redirect a belt set of the vehicle for rerouting the belt set along a deviation path from an original path. When the belt set is not engaged with the belt guide, the belt set is routed along the original path. When the belt set is engaged with the belt guide, the belt set is routed along the deviation path from the original path. The rerouted belt set improves the symmetry of forces encountered by the vehicle and also improves the kinetics of the car seat during a crash. A break-away feature in the belt guide advantageously absorbs forces at different times during a crash.

  • Publication number: 20240034386
Abstract: In one example, an organizer removably couples to a handle of a child carrier. The organizer has a tray, a storage container, and a flexible material. The tray has an opening that extends into the tray's upper end towards the tray's lower end and that can receive an item for storage. The storage container is disposed below the tray and has an open upper end and a closed bottom end. The flexible material is coupled to the tray and the storage container. The organizer transitions between an expanded configuration in which the flexible material defines sides of the organizer between the tray and the storage container, and a compact configuration in which the tray and storage container are positioned closer to one another. In another example, the child carrier has a handle that extends and retracts and that prevents installation of the organizer when the handle is extended.

  • Publication number: 20240034384
Abstract: In one example, a child carriage has a frame with wheels. The frame has a coupler that removably couples the child carriage to a child carrier, such as a seat or bassinet. The frame has first and second leg assemblies, each having a front leg and a rear leg that are pivotably coupled about a first axis. The first crosspiece extends between the front legs of the first and second leg assemblies, and the second crosspiece extends between the rear legs of the first and second leg assemblies. The carriage is devoid of any push handle that extends above the child carrier. The frame folds about (i) the first axis from an expanded configuration to a first folded configuration so as to align hinges of the first and second crosspieces along a second axis, and (ii) the second axis from the first folded configuration to a second folded configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240034383
Abstract: In one example, a wheeled carriage has a frame with couplers that releasably couple to a child carrier so as to prevent upwards removal of the child carrier from the carriage. The couplers can include a pair of couplers that removably couple to opposing sides of the child carrier. The couplers can include at least one other coupler that removably couples to the child carrier. The carriage is devoid of any push handle that extends above the child carrier and is configured to be pushed by a push handle of the child carrier when the child carrier is coupled to the carriage. The at least one other coupler can limit torque applied to the pair of couplers when the carriage is pushed by the child carrier push handle, and/or couple to a coupler of an infant car seat that also couples the infant car seat to a car seat base.

  • Publication number: 20230320494
Abstract: An infant seat includes a seat back member including an outer hub, a seat support member including an inner hub, a seat structure connected to the seat back member, and a locking mechanism including a slide gear and operably disposed on the seat back member. The inner hub is pivotably connected to the outer hub to make the seat back member rotatably connected to the seat support member for forming a cross bar structure. The slide gear is slidable within the outer and inner hubs for engaging with the outer and inner hubs to stop rotation of the inner hub on the outer hub. When the locking mechanism translates the slide gear to an unlocked position, the slide gear is disengaged from the outer hub to make the seat back member rotatable relative to the seat support member for adjusting a tilt angle of the seat structure.

  • Publication number: 20230301440
Abstract: A foldable bassinet includes an upper bassinet frame, a pair of leg structures opposite to each other, and a bottom board. Each leg structure has an upper tower portion and a lower ledge portion. The upper bassinet frame is disposed through the upper tower portion of each leg structure to make each leg structure pivotable relative to the upper bassinet frame between a supporting position and a folding position. The bottom board is detachably configured between the two lower ledge portions and defines a containing space cooperatively with the upper bassinet frame and the leg structures. When the bottom board is detached from the two lower ledge portions, the leg structures are rotatable from the supporting position to the folding position to be folded inwardly relative to the upper bassinet frame.

  • Publication number: 20230219611
Abstract: A child stroller system can convert from carrying a single child to carrying two children without removing a first child-carrying apparatus from the stroller and without adding adapters to the stroller. Both child-carrying apparatuses can be repositioned with respect to the stroller's chassis when mounted on the stroller. A self-standing and collapsible auxiliary basket can be mounted on the stroller in place of one of the child-carrying apparatuses.

  • Publication number: 20230202548
Abstract: A foldable car seat carriage includes a frame unit and an engagement unit. The frame unit includes two leg frames. Each of the leg frames includes two legs pivotable relative to each other, and a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism has opposite ends connected pivotally to the legs at first and second intersections. The engagement unit includes two bayonets. Each of the bayonets has a linking portion connected pivotally to the driving mechanism of a respective one of the leg frames. For each of the leg frames, change of a distance between the first and second intersections of the driving mechanism and the legs during pivot action of the legs converts a position of the engagement unit relative to the legs.

Abstract: In one example, a carrycot couples to a support frame to support the carrycot above a support surface. The carrycot has a carrycot frame having a first side and a second side that are spaced from one another so as to define a space therebetween that supports a child therein. The carrycot has a set of attachment features that is disposed at the first side and removably attaches to a bayonet of the support frame. The set of attachment features includes (1) a bayonet receptacle that receives a first portion of the bayonet and (2) a plunger that is spaced below the bayonet receptacle with respect to a vertical direction and is configured to engage an opening in a second portion of the bayonet.

  • Publication number: 20230123948
Abstract: In one example, a highchair has a seat and a base. The base is attached to the seat such that, when the base is disposed on a surface, the base supports the seat above the surface. The base has a plurality of legs that are rotatable so as to transition the highchair between a raised position and a lowered position. In the raised position, the seat is disposed at a first height and the plurality of legs together define a first footprint that has a first cross-sectional area in a select plane. In the lowered position, the seat is disposed at a second height, lower than the first height, and the plurality of legs together define a second footprint that has a second cross-sectional area in the select plane that is less than the first cross-sectional area.
