    Abstract: Embodiments of a normally open gas valve are disclosed herein. The normally open gas valve includes a valve plug that gradually or partially disengages from the valve seat such that the actuation power required to open the valve is substantially reduced. The force required to open or close the valve is also reduced through the use of an off-center lever arm that multiplies the force applied by the armature of the actuation means. In this way, a less expensive actuation means, e.g., a less expensive solenoid, is able to be used to actuate the normally open gas valve.

    Abstract: A stepper motor driven modulating gas valve and system are provided. Such a system includes an electronic controller, a touch user interface, and a stepper motor. The system also includes a variable flow gas valve having a rotatable valving member for controlling a variable flow of gas therethrough, the valving member having an input shaft, and a gear train operatively coupling the output shaft of the stepper motor to the input shaft of the valving member of the variable flow gas valve. A burner is coupled to the variable flow gas valve. The electronic controller receives a user input for flame selection via the touch user interface and energizes the stepper motor to position the variable flow gas valve valving member to a predetermined angular position through the gear train to provide a flow of gas to the burner that will provide the user's desire flame intensity.

The isolation member supports the foot support in an extended position above the base. The isolation member acts to isolate the foot support from the vehicle floor in the event of rapid upward movement of the vehicle floor thereby to help protect the lower extremities of the vehicle occupant.

    Abstract: A hydraulic pump jack drive system for reciprocating an oil well pump rod. The drive system comprises at least one hydraulic well head cylinder, a reversible flow hydraulic pump, and a master cylinder. The master cylinder has a free floating master piston and at least one fixed bulkhead. The master cylinder also has a working fluid chamber hydraulically connected to the hydraulic well head cylinder and at least two master piston drive chambers hydraulically connected to the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic well head cylinder and the working fluid chamber are filled with a working fluid and define a working fluid system while the master piston drive chambers and the hydraulic pump are filled with hydraulic fluid and define a hydraulic drive system. Reversing the flow of the hydraulic pump causes the master piston drive chambers to be pressurized and de-pressurized on an alternating basis to reciprocally move the master piston within the master cylinder.

    Abstract: An oil well blow-out preventer for use on an oil well equipped with a well casing, a wellhead, a production tubing string, and a pump rod receivable within the production tubing string. The flow passageway is in communication with the production tubing string and provides a mechanism for fluid to be removed from the well while the pump rod passageway provides an opening for entry of the pump rod into the well. The blow-out preventer includes a pair of rams that are adjustable to seal around the pump rod to prevent the accidental loss or spillage of oil or fluid from the well. The device may also include an integrated pump rod passageway sealing device, to prevent the spillage of fluids from the oil well upon the breakage or removal of the pump rod, and an integrated production tubing string rotator.

In one position of the spool, the notches provide separate paths for dual input flows to each of two passages to the wheel motors which differentially lock the wheel motors. In a second position, the notches act to exhaust the return flows in two passages to a single exhaust.
