  • Patent number: 7693541
Abstract: An improved mechanism for sharing information between a non-voice session and a voice session is described. Clients use communication devices to exchange voice information over voice sessions to voice node servers and exchange non-voice information over non-voice sessions to WAP gateways. Information about the activity in a session is stored as context data. When a client switches from communication over one type of session to another, context data for that client is located and retrieved. The retrieved context data is used to recreate the state of the prior session, thus eliminating the need to reenter information that was previously available.

  • Publication number: 20060085189
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates authenticating voices at an application server. The system operates by first receiving a voice input generated by a user at the application server. The application server then retrieves a voice print matrix associated with the user from a database. Next, the system calculates a confidence value, which indicates a degree of match between the voice input and the voice print matrix. The system then performs an action based upon the confidence value.

  • Patent number: 7016845
Abstract: A method of providing speech recognition resolution on an application server in a communication network includes receiving an utterance from an end-user, for example, at a Voice Gateway in response to a prompt by an application prompt, capturing the utterance, and dispatching it via the application server to a speech recognition provider. The method further includes performing item-matching via a search algorithm, returning items matching the utterance to the application server, and returning relevant utterance matches to the application, for example, on the Voice Gateway, for communication to the user.

  • Patent number: 6757544
Abstract: A method of determining a location relevant to a user of a communication device is provided. The method involves determining general location information of the location relevant to the user and determining a list of location parameters from the general location information. Specific location of the communication device is also determined. The location relevant to the user is then determined by comparing the list of location parameters with the specific location information. Systems and programs for using the method are also provided.
