Abstract: The present application is directed to a method of performing ocular surgery using biomaterial from placenta and/or umbilical cord, wherein the biomaterial is contacted with a tissue of the eye, or tissue surrounding the eye, affected by the surgery. The ocular plugs are intended to occlude, and to repair, discontinuities in the sclera, whether formed deliberately during injection or surgical foray into the eye, or accidentally.
