  • Publication number: 20210294003
Abstract: A light control film includes a first portion and a second portion laminated to the first portion. The first portion includes a first functional substrate and a plurality of first louvers formed on the first functional substrate. The first functional substrate includes at least one of an optically active layer and a barrier layer. The second portion includes a second functional substrate disposed distal to the first functional substrate and a plurality of second louvers formed on the second functional substrate. The second functional substrate includes at least one of an optically active layer and a barrier layer. The plurality of first louvers extend along a first direction and the plurality of second louvers extend along a second direction. The first direction and the second direction are inclined to each other at an angle that lies within a range from about 70 degrees to about 110 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6095143
Abstract: A face mask (10) covers the nose and mouth of the wearer and includes a band (24) to retain the mask member (12) in position. The band attaches at the sides (20) of the mask and extends around the ears of the wearer and loops through orifices (32). The band (24) extends around the back of the neck and provides for retaining the mask (10) at the front of the wearer when not worn. Ends (26) of the band (24) are elastic to provide a snug fit for the mask (10).

  • Patent number: 6041782
Abstract: A respiratory mask 1 has a molded, cup-shaped, shape-retaining shell 10 on the concave side of which is a layer of filter material 11 and, on the concave side of the filter material, without any intermediate shape-retaining layer, a layer of nonwoven material 12. The layer of filter material 11 and the inside layer 12 are conformed into the cup-shaped configuration of the shape-retaining shell 10. The inside layer 12 is preferably a smooth BMF material offering improved comfort to the wearer.

  • Patent number: 5765341
Abstract: A flexible pressure vessel 20 having an aperture 44 through one wall 30 of the vessel 20, which aperture 44 can be closed by a closure flap 50 having sufficient surface area of adhesive 52 to completely surround the aperture 44. The adhesive 52 has sufficient peel strength to prevent the vessel 20 from being reused after closure, and the vessel 20 is capable of withstanding a pressure differential of at least 75 kPa for at least thirty minutes.

  • Patent number: 5503782
Abstract: A method of making a microfibrous sorbent article is provided. The method includes the steps of a) extruding molten thermoplastic fiber forming polymer from multiple orifices in a fiber-forming die, said orifices being aligned along the face of the die; b) attenuating the fibers in a stream of hot air to form a fiber stream of microfibers; and c) collecting said microfibers on a collector having a forming surface, said surface being aligned with said die and substantially parallel to and equidistant from said die such that the fibers form a spirally wound microfibrous sorbent article which is supported on its exterior surface by said forming surface and which is drawn across said forming surface substantially parallel to said die. Also provided is a microfibrous sorbent article prepared according to the method.
