  • Publication number: 20050132724
Abstract: A method of reducing energy consumption in a multi-effect absorption system. The multi-effect absorption system includes a primary generator for a primary desorption process and a secondary generator for a secondary desorption process. In the method, heat is provided to the primary generator from a primary heat source for the primary desorption process. Heat generating devices are cooled with the multi-effect absorption system while the generated heat is collected and transferred to the to the secondary generator for use in the secondary desorption process thereby reducing the amount of heat required from the primary heat source and reducing the energy consumption of the absorption system.

  • Publication number: 20050120200
Abstract: A device for limiting access to information corresponding to a context. The device has context logic configured to determine context and a trusted computing platform coupled to the context logic. The trusted computing has a computer readable medium and a filter coupled to the computer readable medium. The filter is configured to receive context from the context logic and retrieve context information from the computer readable medium associated with the context. Thus, the trusted platform limits access to the context information in the database unless context associated with the context information is received.

  • Publication number: 20050096993
Abstract: The invention provides for restoration of lost peer-to-peer offline transaction records. The lost offline transaction records may include access rights to digital media. In one embodiment, a demand for restoration of a plurality of lost peer-to-peer offline transaction records is made. In response, an attempt is made to verify each transaction for the plurality of lost transaction records. This attempt is made through another party to the corresponding transaction. An accuracy indicator is assigned to each transaction to indicate whether the transaction is verified directly through another party to the corresponding transaction. A determination is made as to whether each transaction record of the plurality of lost transaction records should be restored based on the assigned accuracy indicators.

  • Publication number: 20040265662
Abstract: A system and method for heat exchange is disclosed. The system discloses: a device within a server rack having a first temperature; fuel cell fluid having a second temperature differing from the first temperature by a temperature difference; a fuel cell within the server rack from which electrical power can be generated; a fluid manifold coupling the fuel cell fluid to the fuel cell; and a heat exchanger thermally coupling the fuel cell fluid to the device, whereby the temperature difference is decreased. The method discloses: monitoring a device within a server rack having a first temperature; monitoring a fuel cell fluid having a second temperature differing from the first temperature by a temperature difference; coupling the fuel cell fluid to a fuel cell within the server rack for generating electrical power; and exchanging thermal energy between the fuel cell fluid and the device, whereby the temperature difference is modulated.

  • Patent number: 6708109
Abstract: Compensation for tolerances inherent in state-of-the-art locating and targeting. Based upon known approximate position and heading of the spotter, and certain data related to objects with the a vision area, an expanded field of vision related to the perspective of a virtual spotter location is generated. Compensation for present location variance due to locator equipment inherent tolerance is provided such that targeting of each object in the vision area can be precisely implemented.
