  • Patent number: 6105254
Abstract: A hand held eating utensil having a pair of scissors like handles pivotally connected to each other at approximately their midpoints. A spoon bowl is at the forward end of one of the handles and a pusher mechanism shaped as an animal head is pivotally connected to the forward end of the other handle. As the rear ends of the handles are moved toward each other, the forward portion of the animal head dips down into the spoon bowl and pushes the food contents in the bowl forward out of the bowl. The animal head pivots downward when the handles are spread apart to minimize the chance of a child poking himself with the front end of the animal head.
