    Abstract: An actively controlled valve for a piston compressor comprises a valve plate (2) and a counter-plate (3), each of which has passage openings (21, 31). The valve plate (2) is journalled in such a manner that it is rotatable about the longitudinal axis (A) of the valve and relative to the counter-plate (3). A drive device (4) is provided which is rotationally fixedly connected to the valve plate (2) in order to rotate the latter relative to the counter-plate (3).
