  • Patent number: 9535404
Abstract: A method for adapting a timepiece movement includes measuring a loss of energy for each free oscillation of the balance at atmospheric pressure; measuring the loss of energy for each free oscillation at a given low pressure corresponding to a working pressure intended for a modified movement; using i) the measured loss of energy at atmospheric pressure and ii) the measured loss of energy at the given low pressure, determining a percentage of energy gain of the balance between respective i) measurements of the measured loss of energy at atmospheric pressure and ii) measurements of the measured loss of energy at the given low pressure; and reducing a torque delivered to the escapement by a value corresponding to the determined percentage of energy gain.

  • Patent number: 9389588
Abstract: A method for regulating time-keeping of a mechanical timepiece movement intended to operate in a low-pressure atmosphere, includes the successive steps of: placing the movement in a low-pressure atmosphere pre-established for normal operation of the movement; measuring the gain or recoil (typically a gain +?P) of the time-keeping precision of the movement at this low pressure; returning the movement to ambient atmospheric pressure; at the ambient atmospheric pressure, regulating the movement to compensate for the previously measured gain or recoil; and returning the movement to the low-pressure atmosphere pre-established for normal operation of the movement.

  • Publication number: 20140341002
Abstract: The method for adapting a timepiece movement provided to operate at ambient atmospheric pressure so as to operate in a low-pressure atmosphere comprises the following steps: 1. measuring the quality factor of the movement at atmospheric pressure, 2. measuring the quality factor of the movement at a predetermined low pressure corresponding to the operating pressure intended for the modified movement, 3. calculating the energy gain between the two measurements, 4. adapting the dimensions of the movement based on this energy gain, in particular by modifying at least one of the following elements of the movement: the reduction ratio of the finishing going train, the torque of the barrel, the size of the barrel and the inertia of the balance.

  • Publication number: 20120250468
Abstract: A timepiece movement includes an escapement mobile connected to a barrel by a going train and a spring balance as well as an escapement mechanism (1) including an impulse lever (8) and at least one regulating member (9). The impulse lever (8) and the regulating member (9), which co-operate with the escapement mobile, are controlled by control members (6.1, 6.2, 7.1) supported on the axle of the balance. Between positions in which they co-operate with the escapement mobile (1) and positions in which they do not co-operate with the escapement mobile, the impulse lever (8) and the regulating member (9) move in two different planes forming an angle therebetween.
