  • Publication number: 20230258400
Abstract: Systems and methods for using a multi-stage compressor to increase the temperature and pressure of BOG sent to a heat exchanger for cooling a separate liquid refrigerant. The subsequent stage(s) of the multi-stage compressor further compress the BOG, which is then recycled to a liquefaction unit or used as fuel gas for one or more turbines.

  • Patent number: 9841230
Abstract: A system for liquefying natural gas that includes a process and apparatus for enhancing the performance of one or more gas turbines. Gas turbine power output can be stabilized or even enhanced using the interstage cooling system configured according to one or more embodiments of the present invention. In one embodiment, partially compressed air from a lower compression stage of a gas turbine is cooled via indirect heat exchange with a primary coolant before being returned to a higher compression stage of the same gas turbine. Optionally, the interstage cooling system can employ one or more secondary coolants to remove the rejected heat from the primary coolant system.

  • Patent number: 7204670
Abstract: The air duct leading to a compressor for a gas turbine or the like often has water accumulating on walls and other structures. Water is removed from the compressor air inlet duct by drains connecting to the inside of the duct, including horizontal and vertical walls and the lower wall or floor of the duct. Drains are also provided on hollow structures such as struts, air inlet cone and inlet guide vanes upstream from the compressor. A suction pump or blower lowers pressure in the drain(s) to a pressure less than air pressure in the duct adjacent to the drain outlet for positively sucking water from the drain.
