  • Patent number: 11572703
Abstract: A pool perimeter assembly extending along a portion of a pool perimeter includes a combined gutter assembly having a gutter conduit and a grate supported above the gutter conduit. The combined gutter assembly also has a partition dividing the gutter conduit to form an exhaust air plenum on one side of the partition. A surge tank is fluidly connected to through a modified converter box and a water-air line to the exhaust air plenum. An exhaust fan is connected to the surge tank and generates below atmospheric pressure so that the contaminated air on the pool surface is drawn through the grate and into the exhaust air plenum, through the water-air line, into the surge tank, and of the surge tank through the exhaust fan.

  • Patent number: 11112538
Abstract: A first coating is provided on a first side of a glass substrate, and a second coating is provided on a second side of the glass substrate, directly or indirectly. The coatings are designed to reduce color change of the overall coated article, from the perspective of a viewer, upon heat treatment (e.g., thermal tempering and/or heat strengthening) and/or to have respective reflective coloration that substantially compensates for each other. For instance, from the perspective of a viewer of the coated article, the first coating may experience a positive a* color value shift due to heat treatment (HT), while the second coating experiences a negative a* color shift due to the HT. Thus, from the perspective of the viewer, color change due to HT (e.g., thermal tempering) can be reduced or minimized, so that non-heat-treated versions and heat treated versions of the coated article appear similar to the viewer.

  • Patent number: 10774555
Abstract: A pool perimeter assembly includes conduits extending between the sidewalls, wherein the conduits are separated by a common wall between the sidewalls. A grate is positioned on the gutter apparatus to direct fluid flow into at least one of the conduits. The fluid flow may include water or air. A first length of the perimeter assembly includes conduits defining a gutter trough and an extra gutter, and the common wall defines a common opening between the conduits. A second length of the assembly includes two conduits defining a gutter trough conduit and an air evacuator conduit separated by a section of the common wall without the common opening. The evacuator conduit is connected to an air exhaust system to remove water vapor and contaminated air from the area surrounding the pool.

A grate is positioned on the gutter apparatus to direct fluid flow into at least one of the conduits. The fluid flow may include water or air. The grate is so dimensioned relative to the gutter apparatus so as to fit within a grate fitting device connected to the gutter assembly. The grate fitting device is a grate angle having at least a riser and a lip. The grate angle may include a welding base used in up-fitting existing pool structures to accommodate new grates.

  • Patent number: 10072868
Abstract: An apparatus captures and evacuates air from an area above a body of liquid, particularly a swimming pool. The apparatus exhausts the contaminants and water vapor to an area outside of an enclosure housing the swimming pool. The invention comprises an assembly mounted to a wall adjacent the body of liquid. The assembly is comprised of a top section, opposing side sections connected by the top section, and at least one flange extending from an edge of at least one side section. The wall-mounted and bench assembly may be formed integrally, but also may be formed from two or more pieces.
