  • Publication number: 20080081641
Abstract: Actively providing consumer traffic monitoring and notification. The present invention determines a user's location, based on the location of the user's cellular phone. The present invention may determine specific destinations that the user often travels to and routes that the user takes between destinations. The present invention may inform the user of traffic conditions based on information received or developed by the system. These notifications may be actively sent to the user based on the user's location or the user may query the system for information. The system may automatically deliver information to the user based on specific locations of the user, such as arriving at an airport from another city.

  • Publication number: 20060293046
Abstract: Using data from a wireless telephony network to support transportation planning and engineering. Data related to wireless network users is extracted from the wireless network to determine the location of a mobile station. Additional location records for the mobile station can be used to characterize the movement of the mobile station: its speed, its route, its point of origin and destination, and its primary and secondary transportation analysis zones. Aggregating data associated with multiple mobile stations allows characterizing and predicting traffic parameters, including traffic speeds and volumes along routes.

  • Publication number: 20060235833
Abstract: Providing a system and method for identifying and characterizing incidents. The system and method can receive information from telecommunications networks or other information providers that may trigger generating an Incident Record. The Incident Record may further be analyzed to characterize the type of incident. This further analysis may include retrieving data from multiple data sources to support the application of rules used to characterize the incident. Additionally, analyses from multiple incidents may be combined if determined to relate to a single event.

  • Publication number: 20050079878
Abstract: Characterizing traffic conditions by analyzing operational data taken from a wireless communication network to generate traffic information. Location estimates can be made based on processing the operational data. This location can be combined with computerized street maps to measure the time it takes to get from one geographic area to another. By aggregating and analyzing anonymous data from thousands of devices, the present invention is able to determine real-time and historical travel times and velocities between cities, intersections and along specific routes.

  • Patent number: 5759529
Abstract: A composition for conditioning the skin which includes a silicone gum, a volatile methylsilicone fluid, and a volatile alkylmethylsiloxane. When applied to the human skin, the composition adsorbs approximately twenty percent faster, has a less greasy feel during application, and provides a coating on the skin which is smoother, than comparative products.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 4, 1993
Date of Patent: June 2, 1998
    Assignee: Dow Corning Corporation
Inventors: Gary Edward LeGrow, John Cyrus Smith, Jr.
