  • Publication number: 20070228688
Abstract: The energy efficient bicycle provided includes a seat mounted to a frame, and front and rear wheels rotatably mounted to a frame. The rear wheel is positioned approximately below or rearward of the seat. The bicycle includes a pedal crank assembly rotatably mounted to the frame. The pedal crank assembly is positioned coaxial with the rear wheel. The pedal crank assembly is driveably coupled with the rear wheel to allow for propulsion of the bicycle. The bicycle may further include a gear changing mechanism including a driving gear set engaged with the pedal crank assembly, and a driven gear set fixedly coupled to the rear wheel. The driving gear set is engaged with the driven gear set using a drive belt. The gear changing mechanism operates to move the drive belt along the driving and driven gear sets to change gears on the bicycle.

  • Publication number: 20070149327
Abstract: A game racket including a frame, a handle having an axis and a ball contact surface. The contact surface including at least two pluralities of interlaced strings or portions supported by the frame with said pluralities of portions extending along linear paths in a first and a second direction and anchored to opposing marginal portions of the frame, with at least portions disposed in a predetermined direction, with the angle of said direction with the handle axis being larger than zero degrees and less than ninety degrees.

  • Patent number: 6929276
Abstract: Improved mechanical structure for increased efficiency in the transfer of the peddling force applied to a pedal crank assembly to the rear wheel of a bicycle is disclosed. This structure increases efficiency by decreasing the loss of exerted energy when peddling at dead spots, which dead spots are the common terminology used to refer to when the legs are either at down-stroke and up-stroke positions.

  • Patent number: 6142562
Abstract: A bicycle seat is provided including a pair of uppwardly divergent, opposite side support arms having lower ends pivotally mounted from a bicycle frame appreciably below the usual bicycle seat mounting structure of the bicycle frame and upper ends swingable toward and away from each other. The upper ends of the support arms include generally horizontal weight support members having longitudinal mid-portions pivotally supported from the arm upper ends for oscillation about generally horizontal transverse axes and the arms, including their pivotal mounting, are mounted from the bicycle frame for limited oscillation about an upstanding axis, angular displacement about the upstanding axis, in both directions from a center position thereof, being progressively yieldingly resisted.
