  • Patent number: 11998303
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to devices, systems, and techniques for identifying a respiration rate based on an impedance signal. In some examples, a medical device system includes a medical device including a plurality of electrodes. The medical device is configured to perform, using the plurality of electrodes, an impedance measurement to collect a set of impedance values, where the set of impedance values is indicative of a respiration pattern of a patient. Additionally, the medical device system includes processing circuitry configured to identify a set of positive zero crossings based on the set of impedance values, identify a set of negative zero crossings based on the set of impedance values, and determine, for the impedance measurement, a value of a respiration metric using both the set of negative zero crossings and the set of positive zero crossings.

  • Publication number: 20240176100
Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a head-mounted housing that is configured to be worn on a head of a user. While the head-mounted device is being worn, displays in the head-mounted device may provide images to eye boxes. The user may view images in the eye boxes. The head-mounted housing may have a forward-facing front portion, may have a rearward-facing rear portion that faces away from the front portion towards the eye boxes, and may have a middle portion between the front and rear portions. The middle portion may have openings that receive left and right optical modules containing left and right displays and corresponding left and right lenses. A camera bracket and optical module guide rails may be centrally attached to the middle housing portion between the left and right openings and may have ends that are suspended in air.

  • Patent number: 11935368
Abstract: A lottery ticket dispensing method provides different types of lottery tickets in a jurisdiction and includes providing first lottery tickets for sale from a dispenser for a first type of lottery game. Upon a player making a selection of one of the first lottery tickets for purchase, a controller in communication with the dispenser determines whether one or more other lottery games are available for play within the jurisdiction. The method assigns one or more companion games from the available other lottery games based on the player's selection of the first lottery ticket and predefined filter values. The companion games are presented to the player as a suggestion or recommendation for an additional lottery ticket purchase. Upon the player selecting one of the companion games for purchase, the additional lottery ticket is provided to the player from the dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20230296893
Abstract: A head-mounted device may be provided with displays. The displays and lenses through which images on the displays are viewed may be mounted in optical modules. Positioners may be used to move the optical modules towards and away from each other to adjust the head-mounted device to accommodate different user interpupillary distances. To support and guide the optical modules, the optical modules may be slidably mounted to guide rails. The guide rails may be biased against the optical modules using biasing systems. By using the biasing systems, misalignment between the optical modules can be reduced. If desired, guide rail sensors may be used to monitor the positions of the guide rails. In some configurations, the optical modules may be mounted to the guide rails using kinematic mounting.

  • Patent number: 11762422
Abstract: An electronic device may have a housing that separates an exterior region from an interior region. The housing may have a front layer on a front face of the housing and a rear layer on an opposing rear face of the housing. Sidewall structures may extend between the front and rear layers. The housing may form a head-mounted housing that is configured to be worn on a user's head. An internal frame may be mounted in the interior region. The internal frame may have a nose bridge structure that is coupled to the housing with a coupling member such as a coupling member formed from an elastomeric vibration damping material. Other portions of the frame such elongated laterally extending support members may not contact any portion of the housing and may therefore be isolated from the housing during drop events.

  • Patent number: 11573672
Abstract: User interface sessions in a user interface device are initiated or resumed according to stored state data. A session request is received from a first client device. A user profile associated with the session request is identified and a determination made as to whether a previous session exists. If no previous session exists, a new session is instantiated using a default session configuration. If a previous session exists, a new session is instantiated according to the previous session.

  • Patent number: 11569927
Abstract: Techniques for providing a multi-stage iterative scheme to determine fine granularity estimates of parameters of an interfering signal and for using the fine granularity estimates of the parameters to reduce an impact of the interfering signal against a signal of interest (SOI) are disclosed. An input signal is identified. A first set of estimation parameters that provide a coarse granularity estimate of a center frequency of the jamming signal and of a symbol rate of the jamming signal are determined. The first set of estimation parameters are refined to generate a medium granularity estimate of the center frequency and the symbol rate of the jamming frequency. The medium granularity estimates are also refined to produce a fine granularity estimate of the center frequency and the symbol rate. The fine granularity estimates are used to remove or reduce an influence of the jamming signal on the input signal.

  • Publication number: 20220353007
Abstract: Improved techniques for estimating parameters of a jamming signal. An input signal is identified. This input signal is suspected of being a jammed composite signal. Attributes of a reference signal are determined. The reference signal is an expected signal that was expected to be received. A form fitting operation is performed in which the reference signal is formed fitted with the input signal. The reference signal is subtracted from the input signal to generate an isolated output signal. A suspected portion of the isolated output signal is identified. An estimated symbol rate and an estimated center frequency for the jamming signal are determined based on the suspected portion. The estimated symbol rate and the estimated center frequency are used to facilitate a subsequent mitigation operation of eliminating or reducing an impact of the jamming signal against the signal of interest.

  • Patent number: 11482080
Abstract: A lottery ticket dispensing method provides an inventory of lottery tickets in an automated dispenser, the inventory comprising lottery tickets for a plurality of different lottery games. Upon a player making a selection of a lottery ticket from the dispenser, with a controller in communication with the dispenser, one or more companion lottery games for the lottery ticket selected by the player are assigned from the different lottery games in the inventory based on predefined filter values. The method verifies that the designated companion lottery games have lottery tickets available in the inventory and then presents one or more of the verified designated companion lottery games to the player as a suggestion or recommendation for an additional lottery ticket purchase.
